Hormonal Thread..

So, I thought it would be fun to start a thread related to all the crazy hormonal things we pregnant women do. Let's share, laugh and cry together!

QUESTION: Is there something you have done, said or eaten (lol) so far that is "totally not like you?" Have you cussed out hubby? Cried at a silly commercial? Do you need to vent?

So, I'll start! Because my hormones seemed to kick in overdrive today when I went tit for tat with my 15 year old son about taking out the trash! Common issue with teens, right? Not a big deal, right?

Me Before Preg: "Hey Chris, you forgot the trash. Let's get it out before it piles up."

Pregnant/Hormonal Me: I find myself starting a lecture about the trash that morphs into a lecture about respect and responsibility, which morphed into lecture about the "real world out there"? Why did I start to cry about it? My son tells me. Mom, I know you're a little sensitive with what's "going on" with you (pregnancy). I'm sorry I forgot to take out the trash 15 minutes ago."

Oh, and I cried at the talking twins...you know. Those cute babies that were talking to each other in that baby talk? I laughed so hard, I cried...and cried...and cried.

I laugh...because I know it's the hormones. The hormones!

Hee hee hee!

Well I am just ALWAYS hormonal, and extremely sensitive. I cry in commercials. I cry in cartoons. I bawled my face off watching Tangled.

I can't even blame it on the hormones because I am ALWAYS this sappy!

Well I totally cussed out my SO the other night...he said something that made me so mad that I saw red and opend my mouth and let him have it. Of course I said I was sorry afterward...when he was staring at me like I had just grown another head. Oops..

I'm more hard faced.
Rather than bawling or ignoring when DF is being a spoilt bellend..i just sneer and tell him how it is.
Also I have less patience with the dog and yell more. LOL

Sandraleigh, I'm like you and always getting tear-y during movies. I also cried during Tangled this week! heehee

I had a ton of family drama this week, and while I was upset, I don't think it was more than it would have been at any other time. All of my hormonal fluctuations are causing me physical problems. Ick.

I have been a moody mess.I go back and forth from minute to minute even. One minute I am happy and content the next minute I am crying and the world if falling apart.Granted I am dealing with ALOT on my plate all at once but still. I have probably cried more in the last 3 weeks than I have in the last 3 years lol.

Oh good! I wasn't the only one crying while watching "Tangled" and I saw it twice and bawled both times!! I wasn't pregnant then either....

So I have lost my patience lately more then usual. I try to keep myself in check, b/c it's not worth to yell about stupid stuff. Seriously, I feel like I have another mini Asha sitting on my shoulder whispering to me!

I started yelling at DH (over the phone, while I was at work) because he wouldn't get me Filipino food the other day. Then I apologized....

Does increased drive count as hormonal?

LOL! yes to all of those questions!

i've been EXTREMELY short with hubby lately. and he's been pretty darn good i have to admit. he even went out and got me cadbury mini eggs last night.

i think i'm just stressing myself out like crazy right now. i've had a miscarriage before and seeing so many of our group suffer m/c's is really freaking me out - esp those who have seen the heartbeat. i have my first appt on monday and i'm so nervous about getting bad news. it's crazy b/c two weeks ago i wasn't even thinking of having another baby any time soon. then two days later what i thought were flu symptoms turned out to be from pregnancy. i spent a week crying my eyes out and now i'm scared of miscarriage. i'm trying to get myself excited about a new baby. but i can't because who knows if i'll have a miscarriage.

you DID ask if we needed to vent, right? Wink

honestly, it's exactly why i don't tell anyone until close to the end of the first tri. un-telling people i was pregnant after my m/c was awful. i don't buy maternity clothes or anything for the baby until later on. i'm hoping that i won't start showing earlier than my first pregnancy so i can hold off on maternity clothes. i know alot of it is superstition but there's a reason why "they" say to wait to tell.

blergh. part of me wants to just wake up and it be mid-May. but then again, we are leaving for a two week vacation in maui on may 7th and i definitely do want to rush that trip! Smile

I know exactly what you mean! I have had two m/c since last Oct. I have another post related to how freaked out I'm getting with this pg. Expecting the worse.. I had to change that train of thought quickly! I'm trying to calm down.

I know it's hard seeing the losses on the board. We must remember that all pregnancies ...even with the same mother are different. I have to remind myself that very fact everyday...when I catch myself going into a worrying fit.

I also am not going to do any major announcing until second tri. I have told two very close friends. It's good to have some kind of support in the interim. Smile

My poor dog too! She already has issues and here I am snapping at her for the silliest things. Then my LO turns around and mimics me. Yeesh.

Since I got my BFP Ive been addicted to cheese. I will be driving down the road and even if I am five minutes from home I HAVE to stop and buy some cheese. Then as I am driving home or wherever I will sit and eat hunks off the a brick of it.

Last time it was grilled chicken sandwiches, this time cheese.

Weird.

I've been super nauseous, but on more than one occassion I've craved steak and potatoes. All day I've been craving steak and potatoes.. and I'm not a huge meat eater to begin with. Haha Go figure.

And ranch dressing... I really want a salad with restaurant ranch dressing. Not homemade or in a bottle... the GOOD kind from a restaurant. Maybe I'll convince the hubby to get me some... Smile

Meat and potatoes, huh? Maybe you're having a boy?
