i'm 8 months pg. i know, let's buy a house! *added u/s pic*

i mean, am i nuts? we put a bid on a house last week and it was accepted! so now at 8 months pregnant i need to sell my house and buy this one. i doubt we will even close on the new house until after the baby is born but shoo! i'm just asking for stress. still, it'll be worth it.

the house is actually only a tenth of a mile down the street from us! still in the same neighborhood. we love the 'hood but needed a bigger house. our house now is only 800 sq ft  and the new one is 1350. now, i know that sounds small but for new york city it's not too shabby. also, it's two floors which will be really nice just to be able to spread out a little. and it has 2 bathrooms. living with only one bowl is just not good for anyone's relationship!

so, that's my update Smile i have a doc appt tomorrow and last friday i had a growth scan. baby is in the 28th percentile. not huge but considering thomas was always under the 15th percentile i feel like this kid is huge! they estimate him at almost 4 lbs already. we got a couple 3D pics. they are so crazy. and the baby looks just like thomas!

if you know anyone who wants to buy a house in the bronx, send them my way Wink

Thats great!!! And good luck with the move and I hope that it goes smoothly and it won't be too much of a stress for you with a 2 year old and a newborn.

Wow, congrats! It will be a bit stressful, but worth it!

Our last house was 800 sq ft, and we moved last year into this 1300 sq foot house (same neighbourhood too!) You'll love the bit of extra space!

Of course, now with 3 kids, this house is too small!

Congrats on the new house! I'm sure moving with a newborn and a toddler in NY in the fall/winter won't be easy but at least you don't have to move too far. I hope your house sells quickly. There are 4 houses on my street that have been for sale for months! Real estate down south certainly is slow. I hope it isn't that way up north.

Good luck!!!! I hope you have a quick sell. We just listed our land (which I am sad about, but if we can sell it then we have more for a downpayment on a house...)...and will be listing our house in the spring. Smile The market is slow here, but we'll be both buyer's and seller's so we get to negotiate pretty well on the purchasing end.

True it will be a lot of work, but getting a new house is so much fun! You get to start from scratch with everything! I wish my doc would do an U/S at this point. I haven't had one since my 20 week anatomy scan. They won't give me another one unless they think there's a problem... so that's why I'm getting a 3D one tomorrow (it's on my dime though, lol)!

You go girl! Sending sales vibes your way. That's cool it's just down the way that will make the move itself not quite so bad, congrats!

hi melanie - i do have an u/s pic. i just need to get it on photobucket. it was nice of the tech to give us the 3D look (esp for free!).

thanks again to you all for the kind words and selling vibes! my cousin who just bought the house across the street told me that he has a few buddies that are looking to get into the neighborhood and he'd send them our way. so, we'll see. we are trying to go private but will probably need to contact the real estate people soon.

we know the people who we're buying the house from so hopefully that'll mean an easier buying/selling process.

Hehe, you sound like me! We just recently sold our house, and it closes in 6 weeks. I am due in 7, but there is a high chance of going early... I haven't even started packing! So I will be moving, having a newborn, a 2.5yr old, 4yr old, and a new house!
Hope everything goes smoothly for you! Smile

so....basically you're even MORE nuts than i am!!! lol!

you know, there's never a "good" time to do anything. around here, if the right house comes along, you have to jump on it! my biggest stress is trying to sell this house. i really don't want to go to a realtor but i will after a couple weeks i suppose!

We're all nuts! There is never enough time, or the right conditions or the right price. I say just in with two feet and enjoy life! Everything always works out and its not as if the baby needs a lot right at the beginning anyways.

I think its awesome, congratulations!!
