No one ever told me...

That pregnancy is so freaking uncomfortable.

Last night SO and I went to a huge parade. It was our first warm evening in Portland and I was stupid enough to wear jeans and a sweater. Between my outfit and the crowd, I got seriously warmer than I ever have been in my entire life. We came home, I immediately stripped off all my clothes and laid around like...the great white screeching whale. You know, pale, loud and large.

My work has a pretty strict dress code...but I'm pretty sure that come August I'm going to be showing up in NO clothes. "Reasonable accomodation" for disabilities, right?

Anyone else have any woes (physical, non-physical, related to pregnancy or not) they want to air???

Hee hee hee!

Ah, I am so uncomfortable already too! I'm just glad it will be cold here by the time I am 9 months pregnant. When I had DD, I was 9 months pregnant in July. I pretty much just sat around in my bathing suit all day because I was so hot and none of my clothes fit!

I can't believe how uncomfortable I am already this time! Gee, I'm only 17 weeks, I will be getting VERY uncomfortable by the end! I'm already having trouble sitting up and rolling over in bed.

I was up twice to pee last night and it seems my personal climate control at night is alllll sorts of crazy. Covers on, covers off, up to pee, covers on, covers off, up to pee. LOL other than that I'm still pretty comfortable but it's going to get worse when I can no longer sleep on my stomach. I dread that day. I ONLY sleep on my stomach so it's horrible when I can't do it anymore......the night after Evan was born was like the best sleep of my life all sprawled on my newly non-preg tummy hahahaha

Lol I don't want to say anything too bad considering that last thread where you and I talked about how the first baby is always the worst to deliver!!! But just wait until the third trimester... or better yet the last 4 weeks of pregnancy... you'll look back at now and think, "I wish I was just 18 weeks again!" LMAO....

ROFL I'm sure I will! God. But at least I won't be foolish enough to wear jeans and a sweater in hot weather again.

The worst for me was the heartburn. Also the dragging your whale belly up five times in the night to pee and only having two drops come out. And not being able to get back to sleep. Oh, and the heat thing-if gas wasn't $4/gallon and I didn't drive a truck that gets 18 mpg, I would be living in it. And its only been in the 80's here a few times so far this year.

OH the heartburn. I NEVER get heartburn ever ever except the last 2 months of Evan's pregnancy. It would keep me up for HOURS at night. UUGGHHH

Let me just say that having twins accelerates the discomfort... I'm already having heartburn. Sad I didn't get it until much later with both of my boys.

Bending over to pick something up off the floor or put on my pants/shorts is already such a PITA! And when I need to get out of bed, it's like I have to roll out. Pathetic.

No one ever told me:

1. about siatic nerve pain!

2. You will poop on the delivery table. (well, actuatly, I did hear that and when I went into labor, I only ate chicken broth to avoid that!)

If y'all haven't read "The Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy", it tells you all sorts of things that people don't tell you about childbirth and pregnancy...and it's HILARIOUS!!!!
