ordered my stroller!!!

I have been saving up money that I earn from my business for a couple months now, and after this weekend's craft sales, I had enough to order my Bob jogging stroller! I couldn't take the money from our house account for something that really is a luxury...when I could have gotten a different double jogger...but I really was sold on the Bob... I am so excited. Now I just need to sell enough over the next few weeks to get the handmade quilt I want for baby. My friend makes beautiful baby bibs and quilts, and she has one called "spun sugar" and its amazing. Pink and purple with appliques of flowers, butterflies and hearts. I plan on tie dyeing some sheets to match it for babygirl. Smile

So exciting!

Good for you for saving up for something special!

I am really wanting a nice new diaper bag, but I'm forcing myself to wait until close to Christmas when I'll make a couple hundred dollars for my duties as choir manager of my choir.

Such good girls we are Wink

Sounds cute about the tie died sheets to go with the new quilt!

That's awesome! I actually found the stroller that is on my registry on craigslist. A guy is selling the same exact one, slightly used but in excellent condition, with the infant seat and two seat holders for the car for just $100! Retail this puppy is $240! Hoping it's still available next week so I can get it!

Woo, what a steal! Good luck getting it before it goes!

That's an awesome steal! I found mine on ebay for about $160 less than retail around here, with only $45 shipping. That still puts me at $100 below retail, but then you factor that I have also saved 8.75% state sales tax too, it puts it up to about $185 in savings!!! Too bad I can't use mine to jog in till spring, because of the timing of baby and when the snow falls here. (We don't have sidewalks, and I am not going out in the snow with a little one, plus she will be too little to jog in. But for walks around the mall after the holidays, that will work great. )

Great deals ladies. I still need to figure out what we are doing about a stroller. Guess I better figure that one out quick Smile

We're so saavy! Congrats on a successful craft fair, Anne!

Sandra, I'm also hoping for a new diaper bag for Christmas. Here is the exact one I want:

BUT even if we could afford it, I'd hate dropping 300 bucks on a bag! Which one are you eyeing?

I'm aching for a Petunia Pickle Bottom. I actually want two  one in a weekender style for days when I have tons of stuff, and a smaller one for shorter daily outings. But that means spending $250 for the two bags!

I love these bags in this print:

I had problems justifying the expense of a Bob for only one kid, since I knew we would have our kids close in age...and then I looked for used ones on cl and ebay, and people were wanting close to what I paid for faded, old, and torn ones. So...I'll use mine for a few years (till we are done with kids, I hope that we're blessed with one more in a couple more years), and then sell it. and I keep my stuff pristine. It may get dog hair on it, but I don't let rips and stuff happen.

I spent probably $60 on diaper bags that I hated, but were "daddy friendly" because I had these grand illusions of my dh actually needing to carry a diaper bag in public, and then I realized the folly of my thinking by nearly a year and got a nice one for ME. Since he doesn't carry the bag in public, and won't bring one with him if he goes somewhere with the boy, but without me (he has a stash of diapers and wipes and stuff in his truck), I figured I deserved a pretty one.
