Ouch!

So I guess I need to heed the advice I always give my elderly dad who is prone to falls--"watch where you're walking". I was walking across my kitchen over to the garbage can, and stepped on ds's stupid popcorn "vacuum"(-you know those little toys that toddlers push and the balls pop inside a plastic canister?). Down I went! My left leg was bent like a chicken wing to the side, I landed on my arse and left knee and my right leg was out diagonally in front of me. first time I have fallen in years, since I snowboarded last, 3 years ago!!! I was so mad/annoyed. I am okay, baby is good (she was wiggling right after, so I am sure she's fine), but man, my pelvis hurts and so do my thighs!! Ugh. I am hobbling around worse than I was before!!!

okay, enough whining!

Ow! Sorry about your fall that does not sound good. Hope you can get a rest and that you're not in too much pain

Rest? I did that this afternoon--it helped, but I have some tie dyeing I have to do tonight. Trying to catch up with orders while my husband is out of town. If I am still hurting tomorrow, I'll call my chiro and get adjusted.
I thought about throwing that darn toy, but I was right in front of my front loader washing machine and didn't want to end up having to replace a door or something on it!!

Oh Anne I'm glad you're OK! I took a spill (biffed it, as I like to call it lol) a few weeks ago outside of a Chilies restaraunt. I was pouring rain and I was holding DD so that she wouldn't slip, and after about three very careful steps, down I went, taking the brunt of the fall on my left knee as I was cradling DD with my right arm. That knee hurt pretty bad for a few days, but is better now... and thankfully DD and this LO were OK! I'm glad to know you're feeling a little better now though!

Ouchie! Hope you feel better soon!

Last week I slipped on our linoleum as I was bending down to pick something up and unintentionally did the splits! OUCH! The worst part was I got stuck halfway down, and couldn't pull myself back up! Plus my pubic bone is already in pain 24/7 and when I added this fall I pulled a groin muscle! I couldn't even climb in to my car without looking like an idiot for a week!

I'm sorry! I fell a few weeks ago, and it seemed like the seconds between starting to fall and actually landing lasted a horribly scary eternity!
