My favourite is none at all! I find they stress me out so I just go with the flow. I do have a reference book called from tiny tot to toddler that the governement gives out. Its 600 pages of almost anything you could ever want to know. I look in there if I have a particular problem. The best part is the last twenty pages that has all the programs, subsidies and money you can get from either the provincial or federal governments and how to apply!

but you know what one really helped and ACTUALLY worked?? and i'm telling you i had the WORST newborn (colic, reflux, etc etc) was the happiest baby on the block. the 5 S's were great!

I agree that I don't like any of the pregnancy books at all. They're filled with too much "this horrible thing could happen to you." The best ones I've read have been this pregnancy, and that was the Hypnobirthing book and Ina May's Guide to childbirth.

Yes to what Nancy said! I haven't had a chance to incorporate Happiest Baby on the Block but Matt's sister gave us the DVD. She said it worked wonders for her. I hope to have similar results.

And yes to Jasmine's pick of Ina May's Guide to Childbirth! It was so empowering and full of good information.
