Scary dizziness (xp)

Hey girls... I feel as though I've been gone from the board forever although it's only been 3 days! I'm off Tuesday and Wednesday and would have been back to work yesterday (and back to posting lol), but when I woke up yesterday morning the room was spinning. Even when I closed my eyes I felt like I was on a sick rollercoaster. It was horrible. I got up anyway to shower, thinking that maybe it would make me feel better, and I pretty much had to clutch the wall even standing in the shower. I knew there was no way that I could come in to work, so I called in and went back to bed. After sleeping another hour it was still just as bad as before, so I called my OB office. The nurse said that it sounded like I wasn't eating enough (which is true, but not because of any fault of mine, I just get full very easily because baby is getting bigger!). She told me to make a peanut butter sandwich and drink some OJ. Thankfully a couple of hours later the dizziness was gone, but I had a horrible lingering headache the rest of the day. She said that it's caused by low blood sugar, which makes sense I suppose. So now I keep OJ on hand (I normally don't because I don't like to drink any calories) and am trying to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones. It's just so hard to try and do with working full time and caring for 3 kids! Anyway, I'm feeling better today and back to work... hope you all are well!

Krystal, I'm glad you are feeling better! I'm sorry you had that scary experience. Sad

I've been drinking a LOT of Newman's Own all-natural lemonade. You might like it, too!

Haha, it is less than 2 bucks a carton at Winco (my favorite store).

I totally know what you mean about generally avoiding drinking calories. I've been realizing lately that being less than 2 months from my due date also means being 2 months from diet time. And drinking as many calories as I can!

Wow...that sounds awful. So glad it wasn't anything serious, but do try to take care of yourself. I also keep protein bars on hand--they are quick and easy way to get some "good" calories in.

Wow that is not just a minor dizzy uncomfortable feeling! Glad you're righted and the food helps, thank goodness it's a relatively simple fix.
