trip to L&D

Late Thursday morning I started having contrax that were ~10 min apart. They weren't painful most of the time, but noticeable. A little cramping and some lower back pain. They got closer to 7 min apart by the time I left the office at 4pm. I called my OB office and they said to go tot he hospital to be checked. I called Dh and then our friend who was going to pick Ds (3) up from school. I called to talk to Ds at school and tell him Mommy and Daddy had to go to the hospital. He said Ok, he said I will miss you guys! I wanna see my brother too! He did really well. I get to the hospital ~1 hr later and the contrax were about 6 min apart. Get up to L&D floor and it is packed-full moon. We waited 2 hrs for a triage room to get checked. While I was waiting they contrax got as close as 3 min. They were all lasting 45 sec or so. They nurse hooked me up and did an internal exam. I was only dilated a fingertip and 0% effaced. Monitor showed that contrax were 3-6 min apart. They sent me home. Oh and even though baby boy dropped pretty low last week, he has decided to move back up. Sad He is still head down, but I was hoping he would stay down.

Even though it was a false alarm, it was good to know Ds did well with our friends. He thankfully loves their 6 yr old little girl!!!

Sorry it was a false alarm, but yes it does sound like a really successful dry run! Your son is going to be an awesome big brother! Biggrin

I'm sorry you had to go back home... I know how frustrating that can be!! Oh well, keeping baby baked a little longer isn't such a bad thing lol!

I'm glad you went and got it checked out! I know for me that these false alarms are really emotionally tough, but I think better safe than sorry!

And good for DS Smile

I am an emotional wreck. I think it is because I am so miserable!!!

Glad your dry run went well sucks that it was a dry run. Sad I've been worried about how my stepson will handle things too but he texts me everyday after school to see how we are doing he doesn't want to miss anything Smile I'm glad your little big brother is handling it well
