Hi Girls! I haven't posted in a long time, but I have been reading and stalking everyone Smile

Congrats to everyone who has found out what they are having! I am seriously jealous... we didn't have the right angle to find out at my ultrasound a few weeks ago, and now I have to wait until June 28th! I'm still hoping for a girl, but will be happy with a boy too!

A little update on my situation. As I posted a few weeks ago, my nuchael testing came back with an elevated risk for Down's Syndrome. I went back for further testing on Thursday and the nurse was very reassuring. She said that 90% of the women who came back for a second round got negative results and of the 10% who had to go on to an amnio, 95% of them came back negative. I am still nervous and trying not to think about it, but I am less anxious than I was. I should find out on Wednesday. If its negative, the clinic will phone, if its high risk, the doctor will. I'll know as soon as I hear the voice on the other end, so that will at least eliminate a few seconds of panicking!

And that's about it. All I do is eat eat eat and am scared to step onto the scale Smile I guess Ill have the face the music at my next appointment on the 16th but until then I am enjoying Smile

Try not to stress too much (I know, yeah right!). I went through the same thing when I was pg with DS1, and my stepsister went through the same thing as well, so I think it is pretty common to get a "false positive" on screening tests. Hope you get the results soon so you will not have to worry much longer.

BTW, they can tell you the sex of the baby from the amnio, so if you want to know you might want to ask when they call.

I was going to say everything the pp said(pretty much). I have never had testing done because my sister had bad results, but had a perfectly healthy baby in the end. The amnio is true too!

I was just wondering the other day how you were doing. Glad you checked in. And I am very happy that all is going better for you. Make sure to post when you get your results. Sending prayers and thoughts your way.

Like others said, try not to let it bother you. I had a false positive with my last baby and it was a nightmare! I swear I hate that they even do these stupid tests, especially when 95% of them come back just fine! I'm sure everything is OK!
