Hi Katy

I'm sorry you're still dealing with this.
When I had my missed miscarriage last year I opted for natural as i had found out the baby was gone when I started bleeding.
I passed the fetus and large clots and believed that was that.
The midwives called to check on me 2 weeks later and told me to do a pregnancy test...it was still positive so I went back in for a scan and the sac was still there.
They gave me meds and I spent the day in hospital having contrctions and medium bleeding.
The midwife thought at the end of the day I would complete at home.
She sent me home and told me to do another test in a week.
It was still positive so I had a D and C.
that was on may 17th and I started M/C on 1st April!
Mines a bit of a nightmare story, but do keep an eye on it all.
I truly hope that its over for you quickly.
and you are in my T and Ps

That's such a long time. Did you feel poorly the whole time? I'm not really feeling any rush emotionally to have things finished physically so that I can move on, but I don't want to put my family through me being unwell for weeks if I don't have to. It's hard on DD when I'm not well, and DH works a lot.

Nope didn't feel poorly at all.
The whole thing was more frustrating and by the end of it all I just felt like I had wasted 4 or 5 months.
The babys heart had stopped 3 weeks before (maybe more) we found out on the 1st. i had had some spotting at about 7 weeks.
I felt fine.
Being a first miscarriage I knew that it was a common thing so emotionally I was fine too.....by the time it had all wrapped up I felt emotionally drained and angry that I hadn't been monitored more to see if I had completed.
It can cause infection when a miscarriage doesn't complete also.

Hows DD and DH doing?

I keep cramping and thinking it's starting up again, and then it just goes away. I think I'll call in a week and ask for a blood test. DH is tired, probably from working so much these past few days and then having to pick up some slack at home too. I think he's ok, but he honestly hasn't had any time to process anything, so I don't know. DD is cute. She knows I'm not feeling well, so she's cuddly and sweet. I think she's alright. We hadn't told her about the baby yet, but we'd had to bring her along to appointments, so I think she understood more than we thought. I was looking at a pregnancy book, and she asked to see a picture of the baby in mommy's tummy. I told her there wasn't one, and she said, "yes there is!" Sad

Take a pregnancy test too in a week and see what that says.
Are the hospital going to be monitoring you until they know you have completed.
I wasn't discharged until I got a negative pregnancy test....just took them longer to sort me!!

You're DD sounds gorgeous...what a lovely little girl..

I hope DH is okay...I'm glad you have such a good support network!!
You're family sound like a wonderful little unit

Aw, thanks. I am lucky to have my family and some good friends who know what's going on. We told a few people. I haven't been seen at the hospital, but my understanding is that the MW office will monitor my HCG until it goes back to a normal non-pregnant level.
