watery discharge

anyone else have this??? The last few days I have had quite a bit of it. I have had a ton of discharge all pregnancy, but it is definitely more watery lately. I don't think my water broke. Little man is so low though, I can feel him trying to claw his way out LOL

Lol... I really don't mean to laugh, but this is exact reason my oB has to be a woman. First off I just think all male OBs are pervs , and they might have gone to medical school, but they have absolutely no idea what its like to carry a child and give birth. With a woman Im just so much more comfortable asking these types of questions! Anyway, to the op, I haven't experienced any unusual discharge with any of my pregnancies, but from everything I've read and my doc has told me that's totally normal. You would know if your water had broken, as contractions would soon follow. Maybe try just wearing pads for the duration of your pregnancy?

I had a huge gush of watery fluid about two weeks ago. My water hadn't broken, but I was sent home with litmus strips and stern instructions to call again if anything similar happened in the future.

Basically, I'm sure ANY care provider would say "better safe than sorry" and would prefer you call with any questions. Especially in regards to weird gushes of fluid before term!

If you happen to have litmus strips laying around (lol), the pH of amniotic fluid is 7!

That discharge is one of the most annoying things about pregnancy. Sounds like your LO and your body are getting ready for delivery!

If it seems different from what you've been having, can you get checked out? If it's just more of the same usual stuff, I think I can understand, leukhorrea was really bad with my DD. Sad

I pretty much wear a panty liner every day but have not had gushes.

It is funny how some people feel dif about gender of doc. I don't care really either way but have been happy my reg doc is a man and I can care less when he is down there. The only reason I have a female OB is that is who I was referred to for high risk...and I love her too! That being said...male or female I still have issues asking personal questions etc.

I haven't had any gushes. I had a gush about 36 hrs before Ds was born.

If it keeps up I may call the doc this week just to be sure. My next appt is not until 10/18.

No litmus strips laying around!!! LOL

Most people I know are very specific with wanting a male or female. I don't really have a preference. We have been seeing a male OB 90% of this pregnancy since we have been having an ultrasound for his kidneys every month. We like the consistency and I have seen him for quite awhile. He did my D&C after my m/c and is a really nice guy. I see a female doc next week after our u/s, I like her, but I will miss my regular doc LOL I will survive, I see him 10/24!!!

If you think your belly has gotten smaller or if you notice more gushes when you lay down / change positions, it may be a hind leak. I doubted myself for nearly 3 days with Sebastian b/c I had no contractions and I was only 36 weeks, when I finally went in- the U/S confirmed leakage. I was induced. The litmus test came back negative wrongly. There was almost no fluid left during the U/S.
