DH and I had a good date last night. We went out for some appetizers and then saw Tower Heist at the movie theatre. Thankfully the kids were good for their babysitter (their Auntie Amy) and were both sleeping when we got home at 9:30 pm. Sometimes they can be rascals about bedtime, so I was glad they were both in bed! A few times we have gotten home at 10:30 and the babysitter hasn't been able to get them to sleep!

Today is just a regular boring Saturday. I ran the dishwasher, threw a load of laundry in, and played blocks and cars with DS. Then I kept dozing off on the couch so I put a movie on for the monkeys. DH had to go in to work for a few hours.

This afternoon we'll get groceries (I swore last week after getting groceries that I wouldn't do it this week - it was SOOOO HARD! But maybe it'll put me in to labour Wink )

We got up this morning and went to the farmer's market. DH goes every Saturday and I go when I don't have dog rescue obligations. We picked up some potatoes, apples, beef and pork chops. Mmm love farm raised free range meat! Then we went over to a local furniture/appliance store and bought a chest freezer. I want one b/c breastmilk can be held 6 months or more in a freezer like that and I want to get a good stash so if my supply dwindles towards a year I'll have plenty in storage.

Now Evan is "napping" -- he's upstairs playing but hey he's not crying and I'm relaxing. We have dinner at my cousin's house tonight. I love family dinners but no one in my family has kids so it's always a little hard. She has a lovely house full of lovely things Evan can easily break and of course he wants to play with all the "toys" it's a bit of a pain!

I got up, did some housework. Exciting isn't it? Watched the snow fall outside and was glad we got all the winter yard work done. My dd3 had a major tantrum so after she finally went to sleep I said goodbye to dh and went and got me a mint hot chocolate with extra whipped cream at Starbucks and read my advance copy of the new Stephen King novel - so good!!!

Did groceries and now I'm home watching football with dh until the girls wake up. He's going out tonight so it's tacos for us!!! He never gies out for dinner and ge hates tacos so this is a huge treat for me!!

Life is calm and boring. Just how I like it. Less than a month until we go to NC.

I'm working all weekend, as usual. I'm actually super annoyed because I usually work Friday and Saturday day shift, but a guy that I work with asked to switch shifts with me because he had some things to do with his wife, so I agreed. We are both concierge at a timeshare resort and work solely on comission... and wouldn't you know that he booked 8 tours yesterday on my normal shift and I only booked 3... and today I come in and he has another 8 tours!! This is what I get for being nice and switching shifts... I really need to make some money before I take my measly two weeks off with Trystan.

Today is moving day for DS!
Of course we waited for 2-weeks before my c-section date to do this! MIL finished the mural in his new room and DH & I have spent the entire day organizing his toys, cleaning carpets and moving him to his new room! I'm exhausted!
We start on the nursery next week, can't wait!

Hmmm, breastfeeding, breastfeeding , diaper changing and breastfeeding...;)
Nah, the big deal in our house yesterday was Nicholas' first bath!!!! He didn't like it at first, but then he relaxed and enjoyed the warm water. I had my DD take pics.
He eats A LOT!!!! I wish I had over abundant supply... he could definitely handle it!

I am just chilling at home right now. Yesterday DH, his brother, and their brother in law cleaned out my MIL's attic. My FIL was a "collector" and the attic was full of junk. Like old magazines, papers, empty envelopes, old stuff. They found a lock box, pried it open, saw a bunch of envelopes with monetary amounts written on them....but they were all empty! haha! This is probably the fourth 40 yard dumpster that has come out of that house--its crazy all the stuff people collect...

I got my hair cut yesterday and am regretting the decision to have my bangs cut again. At least my hair grows fast. And they aren't THAT short (about to my mouth).

Today I did the grocery shopping for the week, hopefully. I left Jack at home with DH, and spent like an hour in the store. I scored a 12 lb turkey for our freezer for just over $6!!!! Tonight's dinner is ham, brussel sprouts, and sweet potatoes for Jack and myself.

I am getting excited about the upcoming week, but also really nervous. Jack gave me a hard time with naps this week, but took one yesterday and today. I hope he's not giving up naps and is just sensing that things are changing. I am nervous about the c-section, and will talk to my doc on tuesday about getting a couple of anti anxiety pills for next weekend, because i know I'll be a wreck.

Other than that? Nothing much. I have been in my pj's since, oh, 3:45 p.m. because they are comfy and I don't have any place to go. I am also working on updating my etsy shop with some more items that I have. Smile

Hauled my butt to church today even though I knew I'd be getting the "pity" look from everyone  Had to put on the stretchiest maternity skirt I own! Here is my belly in all it's stretchy black glory......

Thankfully the kids were well behaved (DH is part of the church leadership so he sits up front and not with us during the meeting. It can be lots of fun occupying both kids!)

Only 2 days until my 40 week appointment! I'm sure I'll make it to it, even though I've had some pretty good contractions over the weekend, nothing regular has been happening.

I had one good contraction at 3:30 am LOL Other than that just BHs. Boo! I think I'll likely make it through the work week (for my that's M/T/W I only work 3 days a week). I did a lot of cleaning today. I'm trying to get ahead so when the baby comes I can slack off a bit. Normal people don't have 8 dogs - a certain amount of weekly cleaning is just necessary to keep up on hair and tracked in mud etc I don't mind usually but it's just not DH's strong suit (he will try but I find his cleaning is kind of iffy at best lol). So I vacuumed and mopped and did the bathrooms and dusted and laundry. Evan took a crap nap yesterday and fought it forever but went down with no problem at all today and slept 3 hours. He's a real crab if he doesn't nap so that's not fun for anyone.

DH is making chicken cordon bleu for dinner tonight MmmmmMmmMmm

We moved to our new house this weekend! How stressful. On top of falling last week (whatever day that was)... I decided to lift a few things out of the storage bin and bring them into the house after everyone had left, and I took another fall, and twisted/sprained my left ankle. Oh man, did it ever hurt! It got so swollen. I didn't bother going into ER because baby was still very active. I just took it easy yesterday. So today dh is working on a few things at the old house before it closes tomorrow, and my MIL and SIL are cleaning my old house. I am going to attempt to do some things around here, and do some groceries too. I had some blood yesterday and lots of crazy contractions, and baby has dropped more, so I'm guessing within a few days baby could arrive! The end is in sight! Other than that, our weekend was just crazy busy, and I'm so thankful to be moved. I will be more thankful when my house is all in order again and this baby is in my arms rather than my belly!
Hope everyone had a good weekend! Smile
