What's for dinner?

I am feeling really exhausted right now so DH is cooking for me. He is making steak, potatoes, & spinach that he grew in the garden. Not sure how the steak will turn out but he is pretty good at making potatoes being Irish & all. Smile What are you all having?

DH got a chicken at the farmer's market so he grilled it with sweet potatoes and a salad. DH does all the cooking here, I hate to cook. So the fact he's gone M-W this week is a real bummer....mac and cheese I suppose!

We had disgusting Mac and Cheese. DH wasn't here for dinner so I went lazy. But not even the kids ate it! So we had frozen waffles instead. LOL, wow I seem like a great mother Biggrin

Then we had icecream cones!

I swear my kids eat veggies.......sometimes.......

I made a really yummy veggie stirfry last night for DH and I. I swear I don't make crap all the time! Biggrin

ETA: Not that all mac and cheese is gross, just the brand that DH bought this time. Gross. LOL

Well DBF and DS will have the leftover lasagna I made on Friday night, and I will probably be lazy and make myself porridge. We are still over at mils and I really can't be bothered after a 2 hour drive home to make dinner!

OK I am coming over to your guys house for dinner....even for mac and cheese - I love mac and cheese. We just bbq some homemade burgers and had salad. Very simple. I am so happy I can touch raw meat again.

LOL Sandra we have had a lot of dinners like that since I got pregnant. I think it's been canned soup for dinner at least once a week lately.

Tonight it's burgers on the grill. With spinach and romaine salad. And DH is again cooking b/c I don't believe in it Wink

Well, I made beef shish kabobs yesterday with veggies and all that, so today I feel like going lazy. I love mac and cheese. I always add some real cheese to the kraft stuff so I claim that it isn't that bad Biggrin

Everything Asha cooks sounds very delicious Smile

SO was a bachelor for a long time before we met. Years and years and years. I'm still not feeling well enough to cook without really puking and he just doesn't cook, so we've really been eating really poorly. Last night I grazed for a few hours - I had 3 green apples, ice cream and a bowl of cereal with chocolate soymilk. Ugh.

last night was chicken and egg noodles.

browned the chicken pieces (with bones and skin aka cheaper!!) in a pot. took out the chicken and put in two cans of cream of mushroom soup. added a little water, a boullion cube, salt, pepper and some garlic powder. added the chicken back, covered and simmered for about an hour and 15 min. made egg noodles and then mixed everything together at the end.

it was really delicious. i have a ton of leftovers that i'll be eating for a while. DH left for a business trip today and won't be back til friday.

Do you ladies have taco del mar (or baja fresh/chipotle?) I think thats what we're doing for dinner...I'm working pretty late this evening. I try to go as healthy as possible --the tortilla bowl with beans, rice, lettuce, pico de gallo and shredded beef, no cheese.

We just got a Taco Del Mar here about 2 years ago - but I have never been! We rarely eat out.

I think I need to make a run to Tim Horton's for one of their chicken salad sandwiches though....

Maybe this baby is a girl - because I craved chicken salad when I was pregnant with DD too!

No other than 3 days at university I'm a SAHM. My partner travels to another university just once an afternoon and that happens to be my one late day. He works full time and the course he does is paid for through his work.
