Whats for Dinner?

I am finding it so hard not to break in to my freezer stash!!!!! I have tons of turkey soup, sloppy joes, and some casseroles in the freezer, and every day I am so tempted to just start eating it all. And then have none left for after baby comes Wink

So, I was proactive today and just got dinner in the crockpot. I'm making BBQ chicken in the slow cooker, then I'll do some rice up at dinner time to serve it with. Maybe some steamed broccoli too......kind of craving broccoli today. DH just started eating vegetarian last month (he wants to try it for a full year, try and improve his cholesterol) and my kids are pretty picky, so it'll likely just be me eating it! Which seems silly I guess, but at least this way there'll be enough for me to eat a good 3-4 meals out of it! Plus DH made a big batch of vegetarian chili on Saturday so he's set for supper tonight anyways.

Anyone else got something yummy in mind for tonight?

I'm watching calories these days, so tonight it will be fillets of sole and beets. Maybe a salad too. DH can have pasta or rice if he wants. He gets ice cream for dessert, but he's skinny.

DH does the cooking here. He made Chicken parm tonight (breaded and baked though not fried so a little less in fried flavor lol but still very good). Now he's downstairs running and I'm fighting to stay awake!

Wait...watching calories when you're pregnant?? That's just silly! Indulge!

I was pretty proud of myself. I am living on 4 hours of sleep, was at DS school this morning then did errands, then had DD at pediatrician appt got home just in time for DS to come home from school to find DH has FIL coming for dinner. Breakfast dishes were still on the table. But I still did breaded pork chops and a potato veggie casserole and had table set and ready when DH eand FIL came home. Sandra, I will come share your meal if your family doesn't eat it Smile

Woo, look at you go Melanie! I would have ordered pizza. You're welcome to come share mine anytime! The kids ate just the rice, and DH didn't come home until 10:30 pm. Means more leftovers for me!
