Wow so much has happened.

So real quick i am sorry I have been gone so long. I had dial up at the cabin I was staying at on my families property. It was a beautiful serene time for me. The Father of my child and I got some time to discuss some issues we had not addressed. At the end of the discussions we decided to stay friends but He basicly went back to his ex... Sucks but It's ok i didn't realize how much stress the situation was causing me. I came back into town and wow Amazing someone I had been in contact with ages ago contacted mwe and we are in negotiations about publishing my series of books. The first of which is being edited right now. Recently found out that I my blood work came back with highly abnormal results for Downs... Really nervous but it doesn't change my decision about this baby. I am feeling movement. And i have seen an increase of activity during certain things... Like when i am listening to music and laying down relaxing when (surprisingly) my best friend and roomate now talks to her... (I think it is a girl will find out soon) He and his wife have a 3 month old. and both of them enjoy talking to my baby... its odd but we all have known eachother for years and now... well it works for all of us.. lol HIs wife says its nice to talk to the baby not be the Mic as she calls it lol Anyway now that things have settled down I am going to be on here more often I miss having this group and seeing that others are going through the same things I am

Wow, you have had a lot going on!

Sorry to hear you had to go through all that with the baby's dad. That's good that you are feeling better now that you and the baby's dad have finally decided to split up though. I'm sure it will be better for the baby to have her parents be getting along better as friends, than together and not getting along. Will he still be around to help with the baby & everything?

Are you thinking of having an amnio to find out for sure about the Down Syndrome?

That's exciting about your book, what is it about?

Wow no wonder you were feeling stressed. I'm glad you got a peaceful resolution with the father & your friends are being so supportive. Feeling baby's movement at those times sounds reassuring. Are you going to go for an amnio? That is great news about your books, I'm also curious what you write.

Sounds like a rough time!! I wanted to let you know I've just gone through the same thing with the Downs tests and everything turned out fine. It seems there is an extremely high false positive rate.

Keep your chin up about those test results! I had the same thing happen with DD and it turns out everything was fine. They're always having false positives with those stupid tests... that's why I don't even do them anymore, because either way it wouldn't make me not want the baby anymore. How exciting about your books! I'm in the same boat as you, I wrote a children's book and a teen fiction novel last year that I have been shopping to agents... congrats to you!

I agree with the false positives! Same here with my DS. I went through ultrasounds, tests, and a lot of stress for nothing! Same with a bunch of my friends. This time around I chose no tests. Good luck your books!!
