    Default 24 Week Appointment

I had my 24 week appointment today, almost two weeks late. Everything was great and I've only gained 9lbs which is super good since I was already overweight to begin with. I am measuring right on target, but they are having me do a growth ultrasound between 31 and 32 weeks just to check the size of the baby since I carry a lot of my weight in my stomach, so it's hard to get a good read on how big the baby actually is.

I scheduled my C-section as well so unless I have complications or start labor early this baby's birthday will be November 19th! I'm a little bit nervous only because usually you have to stay 3 nights at the hospital, which means I'll be getting out on Thanksgiving. I wouldn't mind going over to my In-laws after (they're awesome), because we have our own room at their house, so I'll have a quite place to go and plenty of help. Hopefully I'll be able to go home Wednesday night.

I also let my boss know when my last day was (through email) and she responded back to me, ok so you'll be back December 30th. Um..No..I am taking eight weeks so I won't be back until January 13th. I have no idea where she got I would be back the 30th since the last time we spoke about it I let her know I wouldn't be back until after the first of the year. Oh well, they'll have to live without me.

Good grief, you definitely don't want to rush back to work so soon! Silly lady.
My hospital with DS released me 36 hours after my c/s and that felt like forever, so I really feel for those told that they have to spend longer!

Its good to hear that everything is going well. Hopefully your boss doesnt turn into a... you know... about you having your aloted time off. Maybe her math skills were just lacking a bit today AND YAY FOR A D Day How exciting One minute I cant believe that we are all so close to D day, and at other times it seems to be dragging lol
