Anyone experiencing this?

Anyone else feeling like your muscles below your belly button are stretching so much that you can't hold your stomach in at all? I'm 7 weeks and 3 days and in the last day or two I've gotten to where I am unable completely to hold in my stomach because it's so uncomfortable. I don't think I'm bloated. My stomach is hard and I almost feel like I have pulled muscles. My mom said she remembers showing with my sister (her first) and around 8 weeks and she's 5 inches taller than I am. Lol. I'm glad we saw the heartbeat last week because I really can't hide that I'm pregnant anymore. I put a pic of my tummy yesterday in my space and you can see a big difference from just a few days ago. Lol. I think baby is growing SUPER fast!

Bloating can feel hardish, and be hard to suck in. At this point, your uterus, and baby, are still in your pelvic gertal. It doesnt actually pop out of there till between 10 and 12 weeks. The stretching your feeling is growing, but I'm guessing that the ligaments and muscles in your pelvis around your uterus are growing and stretching, and therefore tugging on the ones they attach to higher up. I too find it uncomfortable to suck in, or having anything pushing on my abdomen at all. Totally normal Smile ps. you look great Smile

oh, also, your pelvis itself is probably starting to shift from the relaxin hormone. That causes tightness and all that too. Especially since this is your first, and your body hasnt had a baby go through there yet Wink

I figured it wasn't actually "baby" yet since I'm so early and baby is still so tiny but man I look pregnant. Lol. My mom commented yesterday that when I hugged her my belly reached her first. Haha. That's interesting about the hormone causing tightening. I hadn't heard of that before. I definitely feel a lot of tightness in my pelvic area. Definitely feels like muscles though and not cramps really. I guess if I have to be getting bigger early I can be happy that I at least look pregnant even if it isn't the baby yet. Haha. It's darn uncomfortable though, but each day we get closer to 12 weeks and that relaxes me. Smile

It is, and it just gets better lol. Oh, and the stretching pains start earlier with each pregnancy.... Your body's like "hey, I've done this before" BAM. lol. Today my hubby took me out for lunch (my mom watched the kids) and our waitress was a girl that graduated with one of my sisters. She was asking us about if we were going to have more kids.. My hubby and I just looked at each other and shrugged. lol. I was wearing a maternity shirt and pants, but the over shirt is one that has a ruffle going down the front, so it helps hide a bit of the buldge. I caught her watching me. Also, I went to a garage sale at a friend of mine from high school on friday. She is just about 9 months prego with her 3rd. I purposely wore a black, flowy, shirt. Luckily my boobs are swollen enough to help the shirt billow where you cant tell for sure without knowing what you are looking for... I hope any way. A week and a half till our ultrasound... then once we know that everything is looking good, I'll announce that I'm prego Smile

I can't suck in at all either. I do not remember this happening so soon with my other pregnancies.

I'm beginning to think I might not be able to keep the pregnancy a secret as long as I want. We'll see!

You're telling me. I am only just barely 4 weeks preggo, and I can't believe I'm already feeling the stretching/tightening!

With my 3rd i dont remember when it started. This time it started before I even got a pos.... its one of the ways I just knew something was going on. It gets so bad that if I cough, or roll over, in my sleep I am doubled over in sharp pains. Also, I've noticed that the more I walk and do stuff durning the day the more uncomfortable, and achy, I am in the evening. The last few evenings I have gone and layed in the bath tub as soon as DH has gotten home. It really helps me relax, and take the strain off my ligaments Smile

same here almost 5 weeks and I'm feeling it as well already, with me I think it's because I have a weak stomach muscles anyway and I'm pretty sure my stomach muscles separated when I was pregnant with DS and haven't really every recovered 100% Sad

I have a genetic condition that causes my connective tissues not to be as strong as they should be, and my bones to be more apt to break. So, because of that my ligaments are already "looser", and being pregnant just makes it worse. You would think this would mean that I would have less issues with pain when I'm pregnant, but its just the opposite. Abdominal muscles separating are totally normal. There are exercises you can do while you are pregnant to keep it from happening, but for some women those don't even work. With DD the ligaments in the front of my pelvis separated (theres a term for it, but not I cant remember) which made things even more difficult Sad Hoping that staying more active, keeping up on my pt, and all that, will help avoid that this time around Smile

I haven't been trying to suck in much - but I did when I went to put on my smallest pair of jeans - so that time it was totally uncomfortable, I haven't even gained much more than 1 lb yet (and it fluctuates, i've been up 1.5 lbs, then down 2 lbs, then up a lb... i weigh every day, it's a bad habit i've had forever!), but anyway - so putting the jeans on, i had to take them off within 5 minutes, i siad to myself --this is just not comfortable, i just feel pressure and bloat, so that i proved to myself my jeans still fit - i took em off and put on sretchies!

I'm sure it's not that! He probably suspects what's going on!
