April picture thread/chat

Sorry that I havent been keeping up too well. This month has been crazy. First, DH had his vas on the 5th, which went great. That day DS2 had an appt with an ENT and found out that he needed to have his adnoids and tonsils removed. Then, I had to take DD back to ENT since she had yet another infection, and scheduled her for tubes the same day as DS2's surgery. Then, the 12th through the 14th we were out of town. DH and I went and saw a show and some friends in Chicago. The older 3 stayed at my mom's and Kellen went with us. His god parents came along and watched him while we were at the show. Then, the 16th was surgery day for the middles. Around this same time I came down with a cold, and Kellen with pink eye. Since that he has gotten the full blown crud, and I am pretty sure has his 4th ear infection. He sees the ENT tomorrow so we shall see.

other than that stuff, things here are pretty good. Kellen is a growing, up to 13lbs even Smile and loving to stand in his excersauser and play Smile

Aww what a cutie, those cheeks so so cute!

Sorry I have been so MIA. Winter was busy with tryng to keep Sam healthy, then dealing with a car accident (all are fine except the car, that was totaled), and work being really busy.

Sam just started PT as he has low tone and his gross motor skills are that of a 3 month old and he should be closer to his adjusted age of almost 6 months old. It's crazy to think next week he will be 9 months old.

We maybe started my older son with speech therapy too as he is close to 20 months old and not really talking. So that will add to the craziness.

I am always poking around reading on my phone as getting to a computer these days is hard but it is so hard to post stuff from my phone here.

I will have to post some pictures of Sam as it's hard to believe he was so tiny when he was born. At his last appointment he was 18 pounds 5 oz and 26 inches long

Sounds busy there!

Nicky, glad to hear things are going well. Hopefully PT will do wonders!

Zoe will be 5 months Saturday! She's such a funny girl these days! She loves to roll around the room, laughs at her brother all the time, eats her toes, and has definite preferences in toys. lol. She's working on sitting up and seems rather determined. We're currently on the other side of the country from where we normally live. DH has a class at another base and we decided to have the whole family follow him. He normally works 12-15 hour days and this class is only 8 hours a day so we're getting WAY more family time than normal! The drive out here wasn't the most fun, but glad we did it. Smile

Zoe and I at her baptism little over a week ago.

Nice to see updates from you ladies!

Things have been weird over here for us. DH had foot surgery 4 weeks ago and can't walk for a total of 8 weeks. 4 more to go. He can't work so he's been home. I have had to do almost everything and it has been very exhausting. We are finding a groove now, so hopefully it continues to get easier until he can walk again and returns to work. He is also in the process of expanding his fledgling business, so that means more work and time away from home...just as we were getting used to him being around more. Piper is amazing. She is content most of the time, but has started to show more preference for me and isn't always happy to be apart from me. She has had 2 ear infections this winter, but is past them now so hopefully that will be the end of it. She finally rolled over for the first time this week! It wasn't a quick roll, though. She got her arm under her and turned the top of her body and stayed like that for a while before her legs found their way around, lol. But a roll is a roll! We will be starting solids soon-maybe when she hits 6 months. She in the 40th percentile (14 lbs 6 oz) for both height and weight-my smallest baby.

Nikki- Im glad to hear that everyone is ok. How scary!!! And yay for pt my dd did pt for tortocolis and general low muscle tone from her OI and was caught up pretty fast. DS2 had a speech delay. Both him and DD did their therapies with birth to 3, and at 3 DS2 went on to the Early Childhood program through the school. Its amazing what progress kids make Smile

Jackie- yay for family time!!! Sounds like the cross co trip was worth it in the end Smile Zoe is so cute!!! I love the little arm pudge, and what a smile!!!

Beth- I hope your hubby is able to get mobile soon, and that his recovery is smooth sailing. Im sure its frustrating for you both to have him out of commission Sad I love how you describe Piper's rolling over. So cute. You have to write that in her baby book or something Smile

So, the ENT went fine. No ear infection. They want to hold off on tubes till next fall. They feel that with how many hes had already, the family history, and so on, that he will probably need them. They are going to reevaluate him in oct, since that'll be the start of the cold and flu season, and when he should be big enough to get them. Last night we had a horrible night. He still seems to be getting worse and its day 11 of the crud, so I took him in to his ped today. No ear infwction, but def some sort of upper respitory infection going on (thankfully was neg for rsv), so hes on antibiotics. He also went down from 13lbs to 12lbs 12oz...which isnt a huge dip, but with him throwing up, not eating well, and so on, still bothers me Sad hes still in the 0%s, which is par for the course with OI kids... Not that any of my kids have been huge.

Anyone else's LO's have teeth yet? It's been exhausting but one broke through a few weeks ago and then the second the other day so it's been a little back to normal finally. He is still wheezing and starting coughing again so I have been keeping a close eye on that. he can roll and is trying to pull himself up into sitting position. Next time I blink I swear he will be crawling....ahhhh!

Sorry I've been MIA. Busy life, and I've been doing alot of personal stuff ( I'mm POA for my grandma and have had alot of stuff going on lately so it's been stressful)I"m loving the pics. I'm sorry Kellen has had sickies and ear infections. Cristiano has had 2 colds so far and luckily that's it. One was bad, one minor. But his left eye has a tear duct issue and is always full of yuckies, etc. So the opthamalogist scheduled us for surgery to close his duct next Weds. I'm scared because they need to put him to sleep. However, this week, his eye has been totally clear. It has NEVER been clear sonce he's been about 2 weeks old. Today is day 6 it's been clear so I'm going to cancel. No way am I going to risk anything especially if it's clearing on it's own. Which many do. My other 2 older ones never had this problem but I did as a baby and I had the surgery at 3 months old. But if he's better than I'm not even going to try. A month ago he was 15lbs 3 oz and I think 26 inches long. He's trying to sit up and at tummy time he's trying to crawl. He always ends up about a foot away from where I place him....or more. He rarely cries so I'm lucky. He sleeps from 8:30 - 4:30. Gets a bottle then he's out until we wake him up and that is usually when I leave to work. ( MIL watches him). Eats like a champ. My MIL only makes him pure veggie soups from her garden and he's doing very good with that. He is my first kid that I didn't start off on cereal with. My oldest has horrible allergies and I'm reading a possible connection with the two. But not so sure. My daughter is getting them now too, ( she will be 8 this month) and she is startign later than Gabe did with them. So not sure it is the cereal grain connection, but Cristiano hates cereal so it is easier this way. He poops and pees like a champ so he's doing well. Keep the updates coming! How are us mamas doing? I'm back into running. I have a 10K this Saturday. Did a mud run with my husband and 12 year old a few weeks ago . Me and Cristiano go out in his jogger and train. It's been hard because we have been very warm lately. WE were almost 100 last friday. It's my venting time...getting out and running. And the baby loves it Smile

Tiffy- poor dude with the teethers. Hopefully they come in quick so its over nice and fast. Kellen has been fussy and nawing on his hand a lot, but at his 6 mo. appt today the doc said its not teeth, so not sure what is up... besides the NEVER ENDING crud Sad

Nicky- Awesome pic. I believe that is the same walk my cousin does up there every year Smile Looks like a good time... though I'm sure this year was a bit different with the cold Sad

Tiffany- That is awesome about the running. I love that your whole fam gets into it Smile

All of these cute babies!!! I just cant get over it Wink

Today was Kellen's 6mo. appt. It went well. Kellen still has a touch of something even though he just finished a round of antibiotics this past week. Poor kid just cant get a break, but hoping that this warmer weather we are starting to get will help. The doctor is concerned because his length growth has slowed. Hes always been under the 0% for length and weight, but has fallen even more off for length now (23 1/2 inches today). Also, his head circ. went from the 5% to under the 0% (now 15.91"). Weight wise hes still small (13lbs 2oz)... but even though hes under the graph hes still following his own curve. The doc has to get me all on edge, and then tells me that we will just keep a close eye on it. ugg. None of my kids have been big by any means, and I'm not a big person. But I never had this happen before, andI cant help but to worry Sad

We have 2 teeth now...yay! It seems that the top two are working their way out now. My poor little munchkin needs surgery next week on the 22nd :(. He has a communicating hydrocele that has developed into a hernia so they need to fix that asap. I'm nervous but I know he needs it. Anyway here are some recent pics. I can't seem to get him to let me get any pics of his teeth, he always has his tongue sticking out over them lol.

Hi! I know I've been MIA as well (seems like I'm not alone so at least that makes me feel better!). I loved reading though everyone's updates and seeing how big all the babies have gotten. Smile

Carson is doing great! He'll be 6 months old in 9 days and I just can't believe it at all. Our lives have been pretty mellow since the new year just super busy with all the running back and forth to take DS1 to school and pick him up. I'll be so relieved in 3 weeks when school is out for the summer and we can be on a better schedule. Carson is weighing in at 19lb10oz currently and 27" long, so he's a big boy. He's almost sitting alone, loves standing, and can roll both back to front and front to back which can be extremely alarming when I find him face down in his crib in the mornings. Teething but no teeth yet, DS1 didn't get his first tooth until 7 months old so I expect Carson to follow closely. Breastfeeding is going strong and we just started him on solids this week which has been going alright but he tends to push it out still so I don't think he's quite ready yet. He is such a little ham and loves attention, especially from other kids. DS1 is great with him and super awesome helper, and Carson of course adores his older brother. We haven't seen a pediatrician since 2 months, we had a falling out with him (I did not agree with some of his actions and bedside manner). :/ So we're a bit behind on shots and in between pediatricians atm. I'm nervous about that because we're going on our first flight across country next week and I'm terrified he'll be exposed to something he should have been vaccinated for (he had his first set of shots at 2m but I never took him for his 4m visit to get the next round). I hope that all the antibodies he's gotten from me help protect him until we can get that situation figured out. Thankfully health wise he's been awesome so we haven't had the need for finding a new one immediately but I do hope to find one soon. Carson does seems to have bad allergies, both me and DH have it really bad especially living in AG central during harvesting time, but I don't think there is anything to be done for that at his age.

@Tiffany - my DS1 had tear duct issues until he was almost a year old and then it finally cleared up. Carson had it show up suddenly at around 8 weeks old - I put breast milk in his eye and a warm compress in the morning and after naps/before bed and it was gone within the week. Strangest thing because I never thought something like that would really work but I figured to give it a shot. Glad Cristiano looks like it's clearing up without medical intervention!

@Kier - I wouldn't let the dr make you worry about Kellen, he's growing at his own curve and that's all to be expected! Some kids are big and some are small, he just happens to be smaller.

@Tiffany - KUP on Gideon's surgery! He's such a cutie! Biggrin
