Baby Shower Aftermath! (picture heavy)

My Baby Shower was beautiful - i always get choked up when i see the things my Mother has done and does for me througout my life, we have a very close relationship, and being pregnant i can cry just thinking of her smiling when i walked in the room!
that said i'll keep it brief! i'm a huge Jason Mraz fan and the song "93 million miles" reminds me of my baby girl, so when i walked in they had that playing and my sister got me a beautifully written out piece of the lyrics framed and decorated for Kyla!
I got nearly everything i needed, but what i didn't get gift cards and cash gifts helped us with (we completed getting what we didn't get today, i couldn't wait!), i couldn't sleep last night because i was so wired opening and arranging things, so i'm a bit pooped and achy today! my mom has almost all of her things washed for me (i don't have a washer/dryer here and it's too much for laundromat). I really feel blessed and overwhelmed today! well with that said, here are some pictures Smile

DH and I!

Sister and I!

The Most AMAZING cake ever! (a friend of mine's Mother makes these out of her house!)

Yay for a great baby shower. The pictures are beautiful. Now, just to get everything settled, and miss Kyla will be here before you know it Smile

It looks like it was a beautiful shower. Smile You said earlier that you tend to be shy in situations like this. Was it hard for you, or did you manage to really enjoy yourself?

And you got everything you need! That's really wonderful. It's such a nice feeling to be ready (or as ready as you can be) for the baby. Smile

It's funny I wasn' as shy and awkward as I normally am -esepecially as I as at my bridal shower. I just felt more relaxed this time, I actually felt happier if that is possible! I really did enjoy myself. I think a lot of it may have been because there are so many questions about the baby and pregnancy and that is easier for me to talk about than just myself, you know? Smile
I loved my wedding and getting married, and I am still in complete love with my husband but there is something different about this experience, not that they need to be compared, but I just feel less pressured this time. I've mentioned before that I've dealt with some weight issues in my life and I think that really took center stage, unfortunately, throughout my whole wedding process - so this time I just felt like a huge sigh of relief! Smile

Looks like it was so much fun! How wonderful that you now have everything you need for Kyla, too Smile You look wonderful! It will be fun to spend time organizing all her new stuff in her nursery, too, and pretty soon she'll be here!!!!

Aww so cute!! I love how close you and you're mom are- I'm so envious!! My mom almost didn't show up to my shower so I spent most of the day crying. Hehhee.
I love when everyones gone and all those gifts are sitting there and just feeling so blessed and excited!
It's funny how much more fun it is to receive baby gifts then xmas/bday/anything else.
