I know its a little early to start setting this up. I am just thinking that now that we are all getting into the "viable" range, it might be a good idea to start thinking to when our babies come Also, I know that there are other people like me on here who have a history of pre term issues, hospital stays, early babies, etc... and thought that by setting this up now it would give us a way to have someone update for us if need be.
Here is my idea.... write on here if you are interested in a birth buddy... then PM me this, with a Subject of Nightlight Birth Buddy...
Preferred way of contact with birth buddy (Pregnancy.org PM, Email, Phone calls, Texts, any):
Dont leave me any of your actual personal info in the PM. On July 23 (July 24th for you Mandy) I will post a sticky with the list of birth board buddies... then, it will be up to you to establish contact with your buddy.
No one is obligated to do this, just something fun, and a way to make a more personal connection with one of your fellow birth board members. Also, this will not be the same as the gift exchange, or anything else like that that we decide to do. Just in case there are people who want to do one and not the other...
If for some reason there's an odd number and you need another person, I'll do it. Otherwise I'll have my IRL friends on pg.org update this board.
It was great having a birth buddy with my son though and I encourage people to sign up!

I'm in Canada, and international stuff is just bad (texting or calls) so if there's someone in Canada, then I'm in.. other then that I will update pg.org myself

Internationals, on my son's BB those ladies in other countries sent emails to their birth buddy. Often it's hard to get on the boards with a new baby, but a quick email to the birth buddy updated us all. I think one birth buddy pair were willing to be FB friends and updated each other that way!
