Brown discharge???

Has anyone had this lately? I ran a couple of errands this morning and when I got home and went to the bathroom I found that my panty liner had a bit of brown discharge on it. I have been having more abdominal, double me over pains, but they arent regular, and mainly happen in the evening, so I was planning on waiting till my appt on Tuesday to talk to my OB. Wee dude is moving around ok, though does feel a bit lowerish this morning... though, that can change through out the day. The discharge worries me a bit since even when I started dilating at 33 weeks with DD I didnt have anything like this. DH and I havent DTD in over a month because of the fact that it brings on contractions and severe pain/pressure, so I know its nothing like that. I have been having more pain/irritablity down there lately, but the last time I mentioned it to my OB she said that seeing as this is my 4th, she wasnt surprised. I called my clinic this morning but there arent any openings and my OB isnt in on the weekend. They are having a nurse call me back. I really do not want to go into the ER or get checked if I can hold off till tuesday. I have an ultrasound that day any way, so anything they would check for she could do that day. Has anyone ever had this happen, or have you been experiencing this at all? and, what was the cause?

:update:
The nurse just called. She says that since I'm not having regular contractions she thinks its probably normal, and I can wait till my appt to go in. She did say that if my contractions become more regular, or if the discharge changes to a bright red, that then I do need to go in. I really wish I had my OB's # just so that I could double check with her, but Tuesday isnt that far away, and I could always call on monday and talk to her nurse then. Heres to hoping that this is just a fluke and just one of those things our bodies do

I have it off and on. I just ignore it. My doc is pretty specific-4 contractions an hour for two hours, bleeding, gush of fluid, less than 10 movements in an hour. So those are my benchmarks for worry Smile

I recall having this with DD. She came at 36 weeks. But also my ob said it was normal and the same thing, only if it was red. Glad they called you back. It is scary! I keep having BH's or cramping myself and it worries me a bit so just monitoring. I guess the more kids we have the more symptoms we have!

Thanks ladies. Its always helpful to hear when other people share your symptoms and are doing ok as well. I got hit by the nesting urge hard core. I just scrubbed all the walls in the house. I am fighting the urge right now to go back and use bleach water on the light switches, door knobs, and railings... as well as all the plasticy toys lol. Oh, and I so would love to start getting more of the baby's stuff set up (like his bed in our room) but I know that if we end up moving that will be all for not. I'm kinda thinking that something might be up. The day before I started having issues with DS1 I took the day off of classes (I was in college at the time) and went down to the laundry mat and washed ALL of the bedding in the house. Then, with DS2, it was all the fans in the house (which, are also screaming at me right now), with DD I SCRUBBED the whole inside of the van. I'm hoping its just a coincidence lol. But, hey, either way all the stuff I am feeling the need to do are things that do need to be done one way or anther... and at least if something more does come up I have already gotten them done Wink

ps. I am IN LOVE with Mr. Clean's magic eraser. I just scrubbed all the marker the kids used in the boys's room off the wall, and on the bathroom door off the kitchen. It is amazing. It also does wonders if you have a linoleum floor with grooves... gets the dirt look out really well Smile

Lol. I spent today scrubbing my kitchen floor on my hands and knees. The house never feels clean enough anymore! DH is taking my older three to his parents for labor day week, so I am tearing into the nursery and DS room. I can't wait!
