Default does pink = bloody show?

You'd think since this is my 5th baby I would know the answer to this question!

I woke up this morning to pink toilet paper. I actually slept well last night, and didn't feel any like anything was going on. But its been an hour or so and the pink isn't going away. I still feel relatively normal. No contrax to speak of...just tired and achy like usual.

Problem is, my husband is out of town until the 6th (I'm due the 8th). And it's Halloween, people. HALLOWEEN!!! I'm the room mom for my kids class parties - I'm supposed to be there and deliver my kids costumes, and I want to take them trick-or-treating tonight! I can't have the baby today! How am I going to get someone to take me to the hospital, watch my littler ones (causing them to possibly miss their kids class parties) AND take all 4 of my kids trick or treating. Oh man...

At my appt last week I was dilated 2-3cm, and I lost my plug 6 days ago, so I knew things were starting, but I was really hoping I could hold this kid in until my husband gets a few days off next week.

So, is there any chance that the pink will just go away, or is this really the start? My other labors started within 12 hours of losing my plug, and I never got bloody show until I was obviously in labor and contracting regularly... Of course with my other pregnancies my husband wasn't out of town for 3 whole months, is it possible I'm just over-doing it??

Take a deep breath. I have been losing my plug for a while, and last week I had some def bloody show... And here I sit, still prego. If your contractions arent any more than what youve been feeling, then I wouldnt worry too much. Could just be that your thinning more, or that baby bumped a blood vessel just right.

Sending you calming, non labor, vibes. Feel free to send
And labor vibes my way. I'll take them for you

Sounds like the start of something but I guess you never know. I had some spotting the other week which ended up being nothing. I wasn't having any other symptoms except light spotting but it was full on red. It went away on it's own so I've chalked it up to overdoing it that day. Maybe try(easier said than done) to let other help you with the Halloween stuff today and maybe take it easy before trick or treating?

I'm not much help as I have never had any show or spotting with either pregnancy. Hope you are able to make it through the day. Don't over do it!

your water may have broken...just saying this because i had pink in my underwear with my first so i went to the midwife. she tested it and it was amniotic fluid. if you are still spotting pink stuff, i would say call your doctor and get it checked. i also didn't have any contractions or anything else at the time. good luck!!!!

    Thanks everyone!!

I'm pretty sure I am in early labor. The spotting came and went yesterday, along with lots of cramps and twinges down there. I went about my day as usual...went to the class parties, trick-or-treating, etc. At the end of the day the spotting was red. All night long I was cramping and contracting, but nothing super strong or regular. Of course this morning, I'm feeling ok. No contractions, but I'm going to take a long walk and see if I can get this show on the road. DH was actually able to come home yesterday because his flights on the east coast were cancelled (he's a pilot), so he is here for a few days. This kid needs to come out by Saturday, that's when he is scheduled to leave again!!

It's just so wierd to have a labor that starts out slow. I usually go from feeling nothing, to waking up in the middle of the night with intese contractions, to holding a baby 3 hours later. This stop and go stuff is annoying!! Come on #5, get it together!!
