Is anyone trying to get some workouts in? I'm a runner but the last few distance runs I did I started to cramp real bad so I toned it down and stick with a walk run for now. I'm signed up for a mud run in 2 weeks so doing more strength and toning. sucks cause running was my meditation. I got a dvd from Leslie Brin from Moms into fitness and it has a dvd for each trimester and a boot camp post natal. It's a little too easy for me but I love the toning and weight exercises. I use to have fit mama for my last pg but I let a friend borrow it and never got it back. I really liked that one. May try to find it used for real cheap. Just wondering what everyone is doing.

I run and I have missed 2 weeks of running for travel reasons and such. I finally ran last night and it went pretty well but I could feel my dinner trying to come up... I plan to keep running for as long as its comfortable and as long as there are no complications. There is a 5k at the end of the month and then an 8k in May that I plan on doing. I'm very excited Smile

I have not exercised in so long (4 weeks?). I've been so sick with m/s that exercising has been furthest from my mind. Once I feel better, I'll be back at the gym on the treadmill and elliptical. I can't wait until it gets warmer and I can get in my pool and swim laps.

I'm trying to do better. I was walking 3-4 times a week but then I was SO tired, I just got lazy. I started back up this week but unfortunately, my treadmill quick on me while I was using it yesterday Sad Good thing I wasn't going fast! I'll walk outside as long as it's not too hot. I have a couple of preg yoga dvd's and one that's a delly dancing type workout for pregnancy. Haven't tried thatv one yet but it sounded fun.

Anyway, I made it a goal to exercise throughout this pregnancy and so far I'm doing really well. I made it past the m/s stage (which really sucked for exercising, especially jumping rope) and now it's getting better. Try to keep up with something at least because you'll really feel and look different that way. I'm not showing at 12 weeks.

I take classes at the gym - total body conditioning a couple of times a week, kickboxing, and water aerobics. I also make use of the elliptical, treadmill, and recumbent bike. I talked with one of the teachers about it really early on and she said to keep it up since my body was used to it, but if you have to stop for some reason (like bad m/s), then you really shouldn't go back into it full on until after pregnancy because that's when you're more likely to have problems.

I was in PT for my back when I found out I was prego. I stopped doing my excersizes and going when I was having a lot of pain on my right side. Since I've stopped the pain hasnt been that bad. I am going to see if I can get back in with my PT and see if there are any excersizes that wont agravate those ligaments/muscles. Other wise, I'll have to wait to talk to my OB at the end of the month and see what she thinks. I am hoping that once summer arrives to get into the pool. Swimming is actually perfect for my bone/back issue because of the low impact to my joints, bones, etc. We shall see though. All 3 kids will be home, and my hubby has been on overtime, so getting to the pool for an actual workout may be next to impossible.

Umm, exercise? What's that? :oops:

I have so many good intentions, but right now I can hardly walk from one end of my house to the other without dry heaving. I'm hoping the nausea will clear up in a couple of weeks and I'll be able to start walking the neighborhood with my family again. When I was pg with DD, I was averaging about 5 miles a week. I know that's not much compared to what some people do, but considering I have asthma I felt pretty good about walking a mile a day 5 days a week when pregnant. Smile I'm hoping to get back to doing that this time around, though it will be harder with a toddler tagging along.

I haven't done any exercise other than chase a toddler and unpack a house since finding out. I'm really hoping that with nicer weather finally getting here consistently that I can start walking more. After DS was born I started walking 20 miles a week and it really helped me lose the baby weight. Hoping a lot of walking will help me keep my weight under control this pregnancy. A friend sent me a pregnancy yoga DVD, but I'm pretty sure I'll fail at that. I suck at yoga when I don't have a belly. Blum 3 I do still have my resistance bands and a list of pregnancy safe exercises to do with them from when I took Stroller Strides. I hope to break up the walking with stations where I use my resistance bands. It's only been little over a month since I last used them, so hopefully it won't be too bad on me!

I was going to the gym and taking Zumba until they closed Sad Not I have a treadmill in my living room that I try to use every day.

I am a beginner runner. I was training for a 5k when I found out I am pg. I kept up with workouts for about a week after that. Then I just didn't feel like doing anything. I am eating poorly and haven't been exercising and it's already showing on the scale. Sad I have a treadmill in our front living room so there is really no excuse at this point. I'm not going to be running anymore, it will be just walking. I just have to get my butt off the couch and get in there and I'm sure it would make me feel better.

Why does the right side of my vagina hurt and have pressure when I walk? I can't even go up a small hill anymore and it honestly hurts. ...

I was having a lot of pain on my right side. It turned out that my uterus is tipped towards the right. It could be something like that, the way the baby is laying, what nerves are being effected by your uterus/baby growing, etc. I got "zingers" at first... thinking it must have been my cervix closing up. Luckily those haven't happened for a while.. though I know they will be back again at the end lol

I'm also a runner (marathons & ultras). Before I got preggo, I was running more than 50 miles per week; now I have been doing 45-50 per week. I did this with my past two pregnancies and had healthy, large 8 lb babies (large for me, I'm only 95 lbs not preggo). You could try the Perfect Pregnancy Workout on DVD - it's a great weight-bearing workout. Even with my fitness, I found it challenging late in the game. Good luck, and keep it up! Hopefully the cramping will go away for you.

Thanks everyone! I guess we are all going thru different things at themoment. I'd love to keep up the running and I don't plan on stopping but really listening and focusing on my body so I do know when to stop. Marthamama, I'm gonna try that dvd out. Sounds good!
