First appointment tomorrow morning (updated)

The appointment went well, thank goodness. She was able to get the heartbeat on the doppler, though after a very nerve-wracking few minutes of looking. They calculate my due date based on LMP to be later than I do, which would put me at about 9w5d, but she said by the size of my uterus and the heartbeat that I actually could be almost 11 weeks. So she's sending me in for an ultrasound (yay!) in a week or so. I don't feel out of the woods yet, but a week ahead would be really great since it would put me that much closer to the second trimester! Biggrin And to be honest, that makes a lot of sense. My morning sickness started (and seems to be ending) earlier than with DD, and feeling the baby move at 10.5 weeks is slightly less weird than feeling the baby move at 9.5 weeks. Anyway... we shall see. If I'm a week ahead, that would mean I'm due within a few days of my sister!

I'm so nervous! My symptoms have been so mild the last few days, and I'm no longer bloated... I'm having a bad feeling about this. Beee But I always have bad feelings before 1st trimester appointments. I think it comes of having had some pretty awful first appointments.... Anyway, I'll update either way when I get home. Wish me luck!

No, they don't have an u/s machine at their office, but they'll almost certainly use a doppler. I had an u/s at the ER a few weeks back that showed the baby with a hb... but the baby was 3 days older and the hb was 4 bpm higher than my second miscarriage. So my faith in that u/s isn't all that high. Wink

I'm sure I'm making a big deal out of nothing, but it's so hard not to be nervous with my history. I threw up exactly twice in my pregnancy with DD. Both of them were the morning before going in for a first trimester appointment. I just never believe anything good is going to come of those appointments. Blum 3

Hope things go great today!!! My doc wouldnt even try the doppler at 10 weeks, so maybe its too early for that?

Hope it's going well! My office won't use a doppler till after 10 weeks, which I was slightly frustrated by since my symptoms had disappeared for a few days leading up to my 9 week appt. They've since come back. Blum 3 I still have no confirmation other than positive pregnancy tests of my pregnancy, which does have me panicking at times.
