    Default Gift Exchange/Baby shower???

First, I want to see who if this is something that people want to do???

My idea is that we set it up sooner than later, that way we can get people our gifts before our babies are born rather than after, and not have clothes or something fit??? Then, everyone make yourselves an amazon.com baby registry with things you want (also something good to send to friends and family to give them ideas of what you want, or if you are having a baby shower). The nice thing about Amazon is their free shipping (at least here in the states, not sure how it works internationally, or sending things internationally???) for orders of $25 of qualifying purchases....and you up load your address right in there. Then, you dont need to worry about giving your gift exchange person your address, they dont have to worry about going to the post office, boxing, or shipping things... and, if we go the amazon registry route, they also wont have to pay a ton in shipping (though, like I said, not sure how that works sending things internationally, or in other countries...).

    What do you all think???

*Once we decide then I will post a sign up thread like the Birth Buddies one I just posted.... though, I am thinking of waiting till July 23rd/24th for that anyway....*

I like the idea. It's always fun to get something from out of the area

I would LOVE to join - however, my registry is on babies r us (I'm in Canada) However, you can do in store pick up. Amazon shipping to Canada is apparently expensive. A Friend of mine in the states is purchasing my crib bedding as my gift from Target but she has to ship it to me as Target won't ship to Canada. (http://www.target.com/p/lambs-ivy-ro...t/-/A-14110216 I love this set!!!) Sooo, I'm totally in.... even if I just make something on Amazon maybe for whoever and just add a couple things and whoever can just pick one out of the few things I add?

I am thinking there is at least one other mamma who is in Canada... I will definitly try to pair people up based on location for this one.... if Amazon doesnt work there, then maybe you and your gift exchange person could figure out what would work best for the 2 of you??? Same could go for everyone else, the amazon site is just what I found that would work best for me....

Though, lets say that 3 people live in canada... then I would make it so you each have someone in canada... so person A. would get person B., Person B would get person C, and person C would get person A... so everyone was giving and getting a gift...

I would love to join in but I already have two registries and adding a third at this point seems like a pain in the booty lol

I think I'm in, though we are going to have a reasonable price limit on our buddies right? DH will kill me if I spend too much and I'd hate to feel bad if I only spent 20$ and someone else spent 30$ to send me something. I don't mind making an amazon registry with just a few items that I'll need and know I probably won't get or won't get enough of.

I know with amazon its free shipping for spending $25 or more on things that qualify... I am in the same boat with not benig able to spend too much so thats why the free shipping sounded good to me... that way I can get more bang for my buck, and I hate spending more in shipping than on the actual item lol. I will also be asking for location and try to give people someone that is close to them, or that the shipping wont be too ridiculous if need be. Maybe some military mamas would have some insight on shipping internationally???
