Growth problems

Anyone else's LO having growth issues. My son has to have his 9 month appointment a couple of weeks early but he has been declining since birth. He is just a little bigger than the size of a 3 month old and he was born at 9lbs 1oz so we might have to see a specialist. He hasn't grown any in length in 3 months and he has gained a pound in 2 months.

I am in the same boat. None of my kids have been big by any means, but Kellen seems to be having more issues than any of them. Kellen has always been under the 0% for everything, but is falling off his own curve for length. Its funny because he started out as my biggest baby at 6lbs 1oz lol. All that they said was that we will need to keep an eye on it. Kellen has the OI like I do, and I am only 4'9" so I guess I am not too worried. Kellen is still in 0-3 month clothing, and probably will be for a while. My daugther still fit into 0-3 month rompers till she was a little over a year old. Each kid is different, and grows at their own rate. But, Its always good to get things checked out just to be on the safe side. A friend of mine's little girl had a TON of issues as a baby. They eventually found out that her pituitary gland didn't form correctly. I doubt that that is what the issue is with Gideon, I'm just saying its worth getting it checked out just to be sure that nothing else is causing growth issues. Could just be that hes bound to be a smaller guy like my kids Smile

We have always gone early for Gideon's checkups so today was his 9 month checkup and he lost 7 ozs since the last time he was there two weeks ago for pink eye. He eats almost non-stop and his curve started at the 90th percentile and has slowly dropped until now where its 5 percent. I'm hoping he is just going to be small, but we are all big so it would be weird. I'm 5'8 and 223 and my boyfriend is 6' and 265 so we are big and my DD is 56lbs and 4' and she is only 5. So tomorrow we have an appointment at another pediatrician just for a second opinion. When he was 4 months one of the peds at the practice was concerned but the one he keeps seeing just says he is going to be tall and skinny...how does he figure that?! He still wears 3 months clothes. That is by no means at all tall. I just worry that people think I am being the crazy mom, but something just doesn't seem right.

I took this pic right before he turned 8 months. They were telling me as long as his clothes are getting snug and his arms and legs are filling out then he is fine, but he has no fat on him!

This was him 3 months ago. To me he doesn't look any bigger at all. They told me he has gained 1 pound in 3 months

7oz can just be a difference in scales. Its not unusual tohave a lbs, even more, difference depending on the scale. When you take him in my advice is to ask that he is weighed with the same exact scale easch time. He looks healthy. Bigger than Kellen Wink Did you have gestational diebetes at all? I cant remember. That causes babies to be bigger at birth, and then they often even out and grow how their genetics tell them to. It def doesnt hurt to get things checked out, especially if you feel something is off

The scale was right. He was weighed today at the new Dr and same weight and its a brand new scal. so right now he is just failure to thrive. We have a recheck in a month. Until then we have to up his calories. If in a month he hasn't grown properly then we will go from there. Also they are sending him for occupational therapy
