I know I read somewhere that headaches are common during pregnancy or something along those lines. Well the last few days I've been having extreme headaches (borderline migraines) and nothing has helped them go away. Now between the headaches and ms my house is a mess, my sink is overflowing with dishes, soooo many chores are going undone.
Anyone else having headaches and know any tricks/tips to help find relief quickly when they do come on? I feel like I'm dieing over here.
I have dealt with headaches like that with my last few pgs. Personally I haven't found anything that works. I have tried 2 extra strength tylenol with some caffienated soda, prescription for Feriocet, etc and nothing worked. The feriocet would work to a point, but would knock me out and that can't happen with 3 kids 4 and under. I hope you are able to find something that works for you. I feel for you.

With my DS1 I got terrible migraines that would last for days. What worked for me was locking myself in a DARK room and sleeping... though, one time it went on for over 3 days and I ended up in the ER getting pain meds. They gave me a shot of morphine which made me feel really weird, and DS1 go nuts in my belly. But, after that settled down it calmed down I was ok.
With DD I got optical migraines. They didnt hurt per say, my vision just went tunneled and I had trouble seeing. I went in and they checked my blood pressure (common cause of head aches and such when your prego) but it was fine. I was sent home with pain meds, and ordered to take a long nap... seemed to do the trick.
Its definitely harder when you have other kids to run around after
So far nothing that I can't suffer through, but last pregnancy I got three horrible migraines. I had never had a migraine before so it really took my off guard. I had to bar myself in a completely dark room and take a few tylenol with a caffeinated soda. After a few hours I was able to not be in complete severe pain, but it always took a good day or two to truly pass. I just kept taking tylenol with caffeinated soda.
I don't know what I'm going to do if it happens this time because there is no one else to care for DS.
I've been having horrible headaches every day for the last week and a half. They are horrible but unfortunately I don't have any special tricks other than tylenol... ((hugs))

Did you cut back on caffeine? With my first I suffered horrible headaches but it was found that it was because I had cut out all caffeine. When I'm not pregnant I usually have one cup of coffee and maybe a glad of tea so my body was not used to the no caffeine. My doctor gave me the ok for some caffeine and it worked wonders. I only have maybe one glass of tea or coffee. Just thought that may be a solution for you. Good luck.
I cut back on caffeine about 2 months ago because things other than water really weren't quenching my thirst. I don't think it would start being a problem now? I do drink a little bit of soda (like maybe 1 can a day if I can stomach it).
I'm actually really worried that I might be dehydrated now, I'm still throwing up pretty bad (I've lost 10lbs in the last 3 months) and skipping some meals because of ms - I drink as much water as possible but I'm still super thirsty and migraines and weakness could be a sign of that right? My lips are chapped and last night I noticed that I usually get up like 5+ times a night to pee because I'm going to burst and I only got up 2 times last night. I think I might call my ob to get their opinion.
I've been getting headaches over the past week. It stinks! Tylenol won't even touch them! The only thing that really helps me is to lay down with a cold compress where the headache is the worst. I have some cloth bags filled with rice in my freezer at all times. Sometimes I microwave them and get them warm, but usually the cold ones can fix me up.

I get a headache every single day at about 1 p.m and it goes away on it's own at about 7..... A couple nights ago I had one at night and I had to use an ice pack to get rid of it. At least it's not just me!
