omG, 17 days?
my personal experience with this storm is that i am GREATLY BLESSED... we lost power from about 3:00am to 4:00pm today. which wasn't bad because my sister was home (she's a school teacher and they didn't have work) and she had power and lives right up the block, so we went there all day today, by the time we got home the power was back. DH's job closed today too so he was home with me. my sister and mother don't have to go back to work until Monday so at least I will have people to keep me company for the next few days.
I had a dr. appt today but they called on sunday to cancel and postpone until tomorrow - i'm still to call before i go to make sure the office is open, so crossing my fingers that they are. i should be finding out if i am dilated tomorrow!

Im glad everything is going ok, and that you are all staying safe. I purposely made my next appt for 10 days after my last one (its on saturday) just because a few extra days may or may not change anything. If Im dilating more, great, if not, no biggy. A few extra days just gives me time to let my body do what it needs to, and for me to not focus on progressing. Because, in the end, baby will come when it comes ;-)
I was more concerned about it when i was having preterm stuff. But, as of tomorrow I am 37 weeks, which is considered full term. I have only made it full term with 1 other baby

Glad you're okay and didn't get hit too badly, Marissa!
Yes, 17 days w/o power...but I took DS1 (I was pregnant with my 2nd baby at the time) to my parents' house in Dallas (4 hours north) and stayed almost the whole time. They had stations with MRE's and bottled water so we got some of those for the few days we were home before the power came back on. So we didn't necessarily rough it too much-but it was very inconvenient!
