so, this has been a pretty interesting weekend pregnancy-wise! be aware--tmi!
on friday morning, i lost some of my mucous plug. i was surprised that it was not bloody at all. it just looked like mucous. i asked my midwife about it and she said that this was normal.
last night, as i was finally drifting off to sleep, i threw up in my mouth. okay, yes, that's gross. my acid reflux is getting worse but i also felt nauseous. i did some internet searching and i guess this is a symptom of labor for some. this morning, i woke up and still felt sick and had no appetite at all. this never happens to me! i'm always hungry and eating!!! i had constant cramping in my lower abdomen and then started having contractions. i decided to lie down in bed and drink fluids, hoping it would stall whatever was happening. it worked. i am still having cramping/contractions now but they are weaker.
so, i feel like things are changing and that the baby may come early? i am almost 38 weeks now.
have any of you had similar episodes? luckily my husband was home today to watch my son while i rested. i won't be so lucky tomorrow if things repeat themselves.
Well, according to your ticker you're in your birth month window as of tomorrow so it could be a sign of early labor! Hope you're able to rest some and feel a bit better to gather your energy.
I know some other ladies here have noticed some of their mucus plug already and are having contractions off an on (and some for awhile). I haven't at all though.

I just posted in my groin pain thread about this. I have been having heavier dischare lately, kind of yellowish. And last Tuesday i could have sworn my water broke. With my first I lost part of my plug in the tub around 36 weeks, but never dilated or anything on my own. With my 2nd I lost it, and with in a day my water broke. With DD I only ever noticed a heavier discharge... Even when I was dilating and hospitalized at 33 weeks.. Then induced at 36 weeks. It will be interesting to see if I can tell if I really lose it this time or not. Who knows, maybe i alreafy have been? As for laborish episodes, i am either right there with you, or have a tiny tummy bugthough, the contractions and soft/dimpled cervix point more towards laborish stuff...
Hang in there. They all have to come out sometime![]()
thanks, guys! everything has returned back to normal today. no more cramping. so weird! it will be interesting to see how all of this pans out. good luck to all of you, too!
