    Default A little TMI....

    But its making me nervous.

I was taking a bath, washing up down below, when I felt a huge chunk of gunk come out of me. It wasnt bloody, thank god , but there was a bunch of it. It wasnt white, but clear. I dont remember this happening till the end of my pregnancies with the last 3... It makes me nervous because I haven't been feeling this baby the way I have the last 2 at this point, and because of the couple of episodes I have had of what my OB thinks was BH's.

Anyone else have any experience like this already?

I honestly have been having the same thing happen for a while now! I always wondered what was going on, but my OB said it was normal when I asked her at my last appt. It does look like the mucous plug!

It is normal to lose part of your mucus plug throughout the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Some women don't notice it happening because it's small amounts and they figure it's just funky pregnancy CM. Your plug constantly replenishes itself. I wouldn't worry about it - especially since there's no blood involved!

I have heard that it can regrow, so I wasnt too worried about it anyways. I still get little bits at a time, but nothing major

My last pregnancy that happened the entire time. I never had it happen with my first two, but my 3rd I had so much discharge. My dr assured me it was completely normal and not to worry.

Thanks everyone. I knew that your mucus plug can regenerate... I just never had this happen this early on... and with my history of preterm contractions it just makes me nervous. I do have an appointment on tuesday, so I will also mention it to my OB. 1 week till we leave on vacation

my sister had a similar experience at 35 weeks, so she went to the dr and there was absolutely nothing wrong - idk if that makes you feel better, but maybe it was also just a lot of discharge? i get so much discharge i can't believe it!
in any case, if you're feeling uncomfortable then i'd check in w/ the dr to be safe and put your mind at ease. for me, personally, i'm learning that the worrying is worse than the problems i THINK i have.

I've definitely seen an increase in CM, too. Although nothing really thick, I have been having what feel like BH on and off the past few days. It seems to subside when I rest a little more and drink even more water...of course I am spending the day running to the bathroom now I'm going to ask about the BH when I go on Monday, too. Could be that I just know what they feel like so well by now and that's why I'm noticing them??

Not related to the cm but baby moving...I haven't been feeling baby at all since 13w but at 11 and 12 weeks I was feeling little flutters quite regularly! Yet I know baby is nice and active because we saw him/her wriggling around like crazy on the u/s and I didn't feel a thing! Dr. Said baby could just be in a different postition now... Weird how we can feel heaps of movement then a wole lot less...
    I'm sure all is fine
