    Default New pregnancy hair thing?

I have not been blessed with pregnancy and pre-natal vitamins making my hair very nice!

In the beginning my hair was like straw and impossible to do anything with...

Well now it is STILL impossible to do anything with, but some could be attributed to the summer/humidity--and/or it being TOO LONG, I need a haircut...

but recently, like the past 3 or 4 days it is GREASY on the scalp and I have never had greasy hair before. Like you can visibly see and feel the grease - it looks like i did not rinse the conditioner out! ...i actually thought that's what it was at first, so then I later washed my hair and rinsed really good - only put conditioner on the bottom of it, and it was STILL that way!.... so when I washed my hair today, I did not use conditoner, and yes, it still has that greasey look and feel...

I've been letting my hair grow long because i have this thing about when i am heavier and having shorter hair but I think it's time to give in, i'm not going to get it super short, but something has to be done and i'm hoping that it helps with whatever is going on with my scalp right now... i really wasn't sure if this was pregnancy related or WHAT!

it may just be time to switch shampoo and conditioners. I know that i need to switch up what I use every now and then. I also need to go see someone about my mop. I need my highlights extended into my roots. But, I also want to wait till I am closer to wee dude's arrival

I'd try switching shampoo and conditioners first. It may help. And some of this can very well be due to pregnancy. These hormones can do some really weird stuff!

I am the queen of greasy hair. I have very fine, blonde hair and it gets oily overnight. Every morning when I wake up I can see and feel the oil. It's terrible. I don't even like to leave the house until I wash it and now that I am pregnant it's even worse. The best thing I can do for it is buy clarifying shampoos and wash it twice at one time. I wash it & rinse, and then repeat before I put in my conditioner. Hopefully, your hair will return to normal soon or after the baby is born.

My hair has been pretty crappy since I have been preggo this time as well! And it falls out! Some women get blessed with great hair and nails while preggo, but not me!! Hopefully we can all figure out something soon lol!

I bet this is where the old wives tale comes from. They say that when you have a girl your hair tends to have problems... where when you have a boy it tends to look better. I have had the hair loss more when I am nursing... which I am told is just a normal part of the hormone process.

My hair has been falling out too! Everyone thinks that is so weird since most people get thicker hair, but not me. I have been losing tons in the shower each morning.

i would recommend trying a new shampoo and conditioner. maybe you just need a change but i am sure the greasiness is pregnancy related. i have the opposite problem. my hair is dry, frizzy, and thick! i don't think a strand of hair has fallen out of my head for the last several months. my hair stylist was shocked at just how thick it is. she recommended i put coconut oil in it and then wash out to combat the dryness. i know this is not your problem but so far this has helped me.

I haven't had too much change in my hair with pregnancy, other than it grows super fast. I could get it highlighted every 4-5 weeks it seems!! When my roots grow out, I definitely notice it's more greasy there, so maybe my highlighting it keeps pregnancy grease away some??

Have you tried dry shampoo on your roots? I have light hair, so have used a bit of baby powder, too but I'm not sure how that does with darker hair. I know I've seen dry shampoo for different shades of hair somewhere. Might be worth a try?? It seems to boost volume, too - bonus
