    Default Ouch

I just need to vent for a minute.

Last week, I tweaked my neck somehow. (I suspect during my Jillian Michaels workout). Well, my neck was sore, and I felt like I had a constant headache but I could deal. Then Saturday morning I got into cleaning mode and deep cleaned for over 6 hours. By late that afternoon, I was in a fair deal of pain. Sunday morning I woke up unable to move my head from side to side or any direction without pain. I even broke down and took pain pills because I was in so much pain. Spent most of day in bed aside from a trip to grocery store... couldn't let me kids starve. Monday morning still in pain, but not as bed. Headache still there. I stayed home from work yesterday and lazed around.

Today, I came to work, but I am useless. My head is just furiously throbbing on the right side. It still hurts to move. While at work, I am taking motrin like every four hours.

How long would you deal before going to the DR?

The major vent part of this is that is is a HUGE pain to try to get into base Dr. Grrrrrr they have an opening in 4 weeks. I may be healed or dead by then lady.

That sounds awful. Neck pain is just terrible. I'd say if it doesn't seem to be letting up soon I'd try to go to the doc. I know what you mean about base docs. My step dad is retired air force and when he and my mom lived near Eglin they had to use base docs. Right now we don't live anywhere near a base so it's not such a big deal but then they always had to go and my mom hated it. She wasn't used to it. It was like she had to have three referrals or something and they had to be approved by a referring doc and the doc being referred to and the insurance and then it took a month but she had to go to someone else first and that took a month. Ugh! I feel your pain sweetie! I hope it feels better soon!

Oh Kim that sounds just horrible! Any chance you can go to a rapid response? Or is that a no-no with how the base works? My step dad is retired from the marines and half the time he has to drive an hour just have tests/blood draws done. It makes him so mad!

Hmm that sounds Canadian.... If I'm sick there's a good chance I've gotten better before I can get in, and you all know my ordeal with the OB referral! Kim is there anyway of going to an emergency room? I wouldn't wait too long, I'd hate to see you be seriously hurt cause you had to wait so long! Hugs - Hope you feel better soon!!

Looks like I can get in Friday. Until then I am trying relax and pretend I am working hard. Thanks ladies for all your support. In the 6 months we have lived near this base, I have never seen my PCM. Blah. I still go to our old base over an hour away for all my fertility related issues. That Dr will keep me until I get pg.
