Coughing is getting incredibly painful. And really embarassing if I don't have a completely empty bladder to begin with. But the pain is what really gets to me. Its like this horrible rip on either side of my stomach (sometimes left, sometimes right) and it hurts so bad for about 10 seconds afterwards that I'm literally doubled up in pain. I'm really hoping thats normal.
I caught a cold in my 3rd tri with DS. My pregnant body couldn't fight it off either, so I coughed really badly for 2 full months until I delivered. It was the only time I got braxton hicks too - and sometimes they were painful! It was awful. I was coughing so bad our neighbors on the other side of the duplex told me they would wake up to me. I spent a lot of time in pain because the stomach muscles would get sore from tensing. And bladder? Yikes. I just wore pads full time to catch those dribbles so I wouldn't embarrass myself immediately. I would definitely get yourself checked just to make sure everything is normal for a pregnant lady who has a cold, but being super duper miserable is common with coughing sadly.
Ouch I hope the cough goes away really soon!
I have super bad allergies right now, too, and am sneezing like crazy. I embarrass myself on a regular basis between the constant sneezing and blowing my nose. I keep waiting for allergy season to be over...I've never had them go on for SO LONG as they have this year!!

Well its not so much the bladder thing unless its first thing in the morning but the pain was really unbearable so I spoke to my doctor about it and he said since I've had two abdominal surgeries and things are getting bigger that organs and scar tissue are getting pushed up. And so when I sneeze, it's like a very small tear in my scar tissue. He said really its not tearing, just stretching but it is going to hurt. And unfortunately, it's going to get worse.
