Pregnancy things (products) you couldnt do without

What is something made just for pregnant women, or pregnancy orientated, that you just couldnt do without, or that have come in handy????

My sister lent me her HUGE pregnancy pillow, and I seriously am getting way better sleep this pregnancy than I did when I was pregnant the first 3 times. I love that I can wrap it around me so that I have a pillow under my head, belly, and behind my back... its so comfy, like my own little nest Wink

Yes I bought a huge pregnancy pillow! It's by Boppy, i think it's the biggest they make! can't live without that and tums! Also Loving the belly band for my scrubs. They are gettig tight and I have to roll them under my belly but if I bend over, people may mistaken me for a plumber and not a dental assistant! lol!

Maternity clothes. Lol

Ummm....not sure other than clothes. I don't really buy pregnancy products or feel a need for most of them.

-Pregnancy pillow, although before I got one with DD a tri-pillow also did the trick.

- My angelsounds doppler, it was only $40 nzd but has been great!!

- breastpads, for later obviously....with DD I had serious leakage going on.

- Seabands, they helped a lot in the first part of pregnancy when my M/S was mild

- Jeans West Skinny leg jeans maternity jeans. So comfy and they look great. love them soooo much!!! (these were only two for $110NZD)

I'm sure I will add more when I think of it Biggrin

I just have a regular body pillow instead of the pregnancy one, it seems to work pretty well for me! Im not quite in the horrible uncomfortable stage yet so hopefully I don't end up sleeping too bad in the end!

Pregnancy books!! I just LOVE reading each week about what the babys up to in there!

LOVED my doppler- now that shes moving around I dont really use it- but it really got me through the first trimester w/o worrying so much.

Somedays I can't live without Zofran! I seriously don't think I would have been able to even work for half this pregnancy. I would just throw up all day long.

I had no idea dopplers were so cheap (on ebay anyways)! I should have bought one with number 1 and gotten some use out of it.
Anyways, I use 3 pillows and love my sleep number bed so far anyways.

I just wish I could find some pregnancy shorts in my size, it is not going very good so far. Both of my other pregnancies I was pregnant in the winter and spring and did not need shorts.

Try Target and Motherhood. I love the ones with the secret fit, they tend to fit longer Smile

Zantac. I have the worst acid reflux in the middle of the night. Uck. By the end I'll be sleeping on the couch, buoyed by a million pillows!

Thanks! I am going to try Motherhood and Kohl's again today. I have been to 2 Target's, we are limited around here I guess. I do need a size 1x though. I have been to Sears, Penney's, Macy's, Target, Old Navy, Kohl's (there xl fits me) and Motherhood (although at these 2 I wasn't really looking at shorts at the time). So not really for lack of trying, the stores just do not have any selection around here and I can't where super short ones. I could buy online I guess where the selection is greater but I was hoping to try on and have for this week.

and I have a big belly already! The super fit like you said or the old style front belly panels work best for me!

You could always try on a couple of sizes in the store, then see if you can find a good deal on line??? I just gave a bunch of my too small, or just not comfy any more, maternity clothes to a friend of mine that is due about 3 weeks after me. This is her first, and she is a scrawny little thing to begin with... I just cant do any of the below the belly fit or the ones with the thick short band on top... I have NO torso, so they end up sitting right on my pelvis/belly... right where things are growing. Everything is made for women that are over 5ft... and being 4ft 9inches, makes it hard to find things that fit normally, let alone when you're prego Sad

I completely agree, the thick bands and below the belly are out for me too for slightlly diff reasons! That was great that you could share the stuff with a friend. The stuff can be expensive! I always get mad when they don't sell women's clothing (pants) like they do for men's, by the inch. I am tall so usually ahve the opposite problem. I sold all my old stuff too a few years back and I had lost some weight so none of it would have fit anyways. I did get a big lot of clothes in my perfect size on craigslist but only 1 pair or black shorts in there. I can get by though, I have a couple knit shorts I can get over my belly yet.

Yes! Just like with DD, my reflux cleared up a few weeks into the second trimester, but I pretty much live on zantac or prilosec in the first tri.

I have to have a pillow to support my belly and go between my knees when I sleep...haven't made the body or preg pillow investment, though, just using a regular pillow. I know I'd love a pregnancy pillow, they are just so expensive! I sleep with 5 bed pillows to prop myself up just so Smile

Definitely loving the maternity clothes. With my previous 2 pregnancies, I didn't like the over-belly fit at all, but this time, it is SO much more comfortable. I think I'm going to get a support band this time, too. This little boy is sitting so low and I need the extra lift Smile

Anyone else's legs just TIRED and SORE at the end of the day? I'm finding a bath helps, and just laying down whenever I can...
