RQOTD - May 23rd

As we all finally start to enter the 2nd trimester, is there anything you're looking forward to preparing/doing for your new LOs arrival?

****
I'm looking forward to buying a few newborn cloth diapers. I didn't CD DS till he was 4 months, so I'm excited about the tiny cloth. If this kid is a girl I'm looking forward to making things for the nursery. I made a lot for DS and it really gave me a sense of pride whenever I sat in there. Even though the nursery won't be used for a few months after the baby is here! lol

More energy, starting to feel him/her move, having a teenager move in with us (just found out today that my stepson is going to come live with us), finally starting to feel better, getting my car fixed so I can actually drive around without borrowing DH's car....

DD's 3rd birthday is just around the corner, and the in-laws are coming to stay with us for the week surrounding her birthday. So there's a lot of cleaning going on around here (lots by DH, thankfully :D).

Feeling the baby move more consistently, for DH and the kids to feel the baby move, finding out his or her sex. I have a long list of things I want to get done... hopefully sooner than later. Most have to do with cleaning and organizing the whole house, then figuring out where I am going to put the baby's clothes, getting the baby clothes I need back from my sisters, getting the baby's bed set up in my room, figuring out where to put the baby swing and bouncer... needless to say my list keeps growing lol

Newborn fluff is so fun! I need to go through my stash and make sure it's in good shape for another go-around!

I can't wait to find out the gender so I can start sewing! I want to make lots of layette/clothes, blankets, and all that jazz!! And I finally get to decorate a nursery for the first time. We bought our first house right after DD #4 was born, so I never got to paint and decorate a nursery! I'm so excited!

I'm also looking forward to feeling the baby move. And letting the cat completely out of the bag. There are still so many people that don't know yet. Mostly my IL's...We need to figure out how to tell them!

Oh my! Lol I'm visiting my hometown right now and everyone takes one look at me and KNOWS. Anyone who didn't pick up on FB hints is going "woah, are you due this summer?!" EEK!

Amy- Ditto- some of my closest friends dont even know, and people/customers at work I see a lot dont know, but i'vebeen getting glances but nobody really has the nerve to ASK yet.. so it'll be fun to be "outted" haha..

Im excited to find out gender and that everything is OK, I'm just SOOO worried this time around.. so then I can start going through Brodys stuff and sorting it out to see what we can use (boy or nuetral)...

And this weekend were working on the house a lot, we have a whole room basically to redo and put walls and closets in and take out a sliding door, paint, trim, carpeting in three rooms, LOTS of constructiony things, so Im anxious to get that DONE with and start shopping!!!

Also- Im really relieved because I thought I was stressing early for nothing, but Kevin mentioned he's going to start the closets THIS weekend, im glad hes not putting it off!!

I feel like its really starting to become REAL that I might possibly really get a baby out of this!!

I'm with you with feeling like I need to get things done sooner than later. For me, I'm nervous about the chances of having pre term contractions again and ending up on bed rest... I just want to get what I can done asap so that I can enjoy the rest of my pregnancy (my last Sad ) and not worrying about things later on if I can help it Smile We are taking this extended weekend to ransack the house... just hoping that I have the energy to get it all done...
