The latest update is:

Looks like he maybe moving closer to home in a few days. The NICU just called a few hours ago and said they want to see how he handles full feeds (30 ml) and if he does well they are going to take out his pic line and then work on moving him to the NICU closer to home where Sebastian my older son was.

It will be great having him close but it's a little overwhelming considering yesterday I was told it wouldn't be considered for a few weeks to a month.

That sounds great, though I completely get you being nervous. It sounds like a whirlwind of confusion... one person telling you one thing, another another. I hope it all goes well, it sounds like he is a champ

It was very confusing
We had a talk with the nurse manager at the NICU today and we are all finally on the same page

I'm glad you had a chat with the nurse manager that put your mind at ease! Having him closer to home would be so wonderful! What a fighter your little Sam is!
