Yes. Hate it. Baby's head is down there now. Ouch!

Yes! I have been feeling this - catches me unaware every time and I have to stop in my tracks! They told me at my last appt that baby is head down, too. Sometimes it feels like he's boxing down there, eep!

yes. my doula told me to do a kegel whenever i felt the pain. works like a charm. try it. it makes the sharp pain go away more quickly. i started getting them recently too.
I started feeling what you are describing a couple weeks ago and the feeling seems to be happening more frequently for me too. Especially at night when I am doing chores or making dinner. It's a very strange feeling to say the least! I definitely don't remember it happening in my last pregnancy.
It happens sooner and sooner with each of my pregnancies. I swear I can feel wee dude grinding his head into my cervix, head butting it, or like you described, trying to punch his way through. As they get bigger they put more pressure there... and with each pregnancy you get more stretched out so they sit lower... all adding up to a head in your "general area" and zingers galore. The way I look at it, it just means that once its go time, things should be good and ripened
I know for me it means that things are going to start to shorten sooner than latter. Thats what my cervix tends to do... start to shorten, but then not dilate till the end. I wonder if you will be in the same boat as me, a 35 or 36 week baby? Especially if your "little" guy is already so big???
