u/s Tomorrow *First update #6

I have an U/S tomorrow. At my last appt they did a vaginal u/s. and she could barely find anything but the lining. She thought either I was earlier then expected or something was happening. So I had my hcg levels checked and they were at 90,000 and 2 days later at 101,000-almost 102. So I have to go to the radilogist tomorrow for a scan doen there and have to drink the 30oz of water! Ay!! Remember those too well! Please keep your fingers crossed all is ok. I still have all the symptoms, lots of nausea and the boobs are just ginormous and painful!!! And headache city lately and can't stop eating! Praying for a good outcome. Thanks ladies!

Those are AWESOME levels Smile I'm sure its just the way things were positioned in there. Now that your baby is bigger it should be easier to see. Cant wait to hear your update Smile oooo, and if you can, post a ultrasound. I love seeing everyone's little beans Wink

Thanks Ladies, well, being she was a radilogist she stayed totally quiet. All she answered was when I asked, "Doyou see anything ?" and she replied, "Yes I see something but I am not allowed to tell you anything." So that was as far as I got. Errrrr. How annoying. I know nothing of the heart beat, how big, nada, zilch. So waiting for my doc to respond. Hope all is ok. She did have me hold my breath 3 different times. Not sure if she was trying to find a heartbeat or what that was about. I'll update again when I know something. But the lady did surprise me with a picture!

From what I can see, looks good to me??? Hopefully your doc will call back asap... I hate when techs do that. They could at least let you hear the heart beat Sad

They typically just have you hold your breath so they can take clear pictures. My RE didn't do that but any time I've had any other kind of u/s with a tech or a radiologist before they always do that. Might depend on the type of u/s machine they have too. I'm not sure. I agree that from what I see everything looks fine (not that I'm an expert or anything). My poor doc didn't even get a chance to say anything about the hb before I said "Omg is that the hb?" Lol. And he doesn't just sit there quietly either. I was super eager. I sure hope your doctor calls back soon. I know you just can't stand waiting to hear. I'd be going nuts right now. Giant hugs to you sweetie!

That stinks that she couldn't tell you anything. I had that experience with my DS at his anatomy scan. They had me laying there with a full bladder for an hour where I couldn't see a darn thing. My husband wasn't allowed in the room either. After that hour he was panicking in that waiting room! Everything was fine but they couldn't tell me or show me anything until a doctor saw. ((hugs))

that is exactly what they did this time to me! For my other kids DH was always with me for each U/S and I had placenta previa with my son so I had many U/s's. But they told DH today that they would take me back and then get him! But forgot. And I also could not see the screen at all. sucked. Errr.

Well I heard back from her. She is not even a doc, she is a NP. In my area when I signed up with an OB they weren't accepting new pts. But I really like my NP. Anyway she said all is really good and baby is measuring at exactly what my tickers says and what I knew. She said there was a strong hb but didn't specify a rate. I asked her if she can tell me. So I am very relieved!

As far as the holding breath thing, yea Leah that sounds possible. When I had an ecocardiogram (sp?) I had to do that as well. I'm just glad for right now we are ok! Thanks everyone for your T&P! Means alot. Feels like I'm starting all over again so it's a little scary. Being that I'm older now as well.
