    Default Very Light Spotting

I just went to the bathroom and noticed that I was spotting. It wasn't a lot, but it was definitely blood red. I haven't had any cramping and baby has been moving normally so I am not sure why I started spotting. I haven't DTD since Sunday either. I called the midwife and she said to keep an eye on it and call them back if it gets heavier or I notice cramping, the baby slow down, etc. I am not too worried since I am not having any other symptoms with it and my midwife wasn't concerned, but I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this too? Kind of random to walk in the bathroom and see blood for no apparent reason, you know?

no, i haven't had this happen. did your midwife give any reason for why this may have happened? are you still spotting? did she say you may go into labor soon? it seems like it would mean things are starting to move. good luck!!

I've had some very light spotting the last few days, but it's all been brown and pink, not at all red.

From what I've read, it could be the baby pushing hard on your cervix and breaking some blood vessels. Or it could be your cervix dilating (bloody show?). Or it could be any number of other things, some normal and some kind of scary. The scary ones would lead to more pain, more blood, or the baby slowing down its movements, so your midwife's recommendations take care of that. Hopefully it calms down and your baby will stay put for another month or so!

Have you been on your feet a lot, or doing more than usual? Im guessing that things are getting irritated for one reason or another. Try takibg it easy. Keep that baby cooking at least a couple more weeks

I have been at my desk all day. That's why I thought it was strange. I could see it happening if I was up moving around all day or something. However, the only thing I can think did it is when I carried 2 boxes down to my coworkers office that were kind of heavy. My coworker fussed at me for carrying them by myself. I did notice it shortly after that so maybe that's what did it...? Kind of funny that something as little as carrying 2 boxes could cause me to spot, but I guess it's possible at this point.

I bet that was it. That happened to me when I was 19ish weeks with DD, helping my sister move. I limited myself to smaller boxes, but even that caused it. I would just make it a point to not doing any lifting for now. Hoping thats all it is, and that you can keep him a cooking

It could be DTD... when I had some I asked my doctor and she asked how long it'd been. I said a week ago. She said its normal within a week especially in the third trimester.

There are so many reasons for this at this point! Hopefully it's just one of the boring reasons. From what you're telling me it probably is.

I hope that it stops!! Definitely call again if it happens again. I put myself through torture last week read a story that I shouldn't have regarding a placenta that abrupted. But I also have never had it happen except once with my first child when I fell down a couple steps and hit the side of my belly a little. I went into the ER with that one though when I was spotting over night the next night. Everything turned out fine. Is it common to worry more the more children you have?
