Well, seeing as Marek is only 5 days old, I have a long way to go until my 6 week PP. LOL. I only gained a total of 11lbs this pregnancy so I'm not so much worried about losing the pregnancy weight as I am about the weight I hadn't lost before getting pregnant this time. I have at least 50 lbs to lose from my pre-pregnancy weight.
I plan to eat moderately through the holidays and then start eating clean in January. After I have my PP check up mid January I plan to do Xbox Kinect games like Zumba, Just Dance and WipeOut (with or without Kostas depending on the game) and then when the snow melts I will be getting back to running.
I'm also getting a GoWear Fit (Complete On-Body Monitor System with the BodyMedia FIT | BodyMedia) for Xmas so that will help me with staying on track with my food and how many calories I'm burning.

I had Kyla 2 weeks and 2 days ago and as of today I am 16 lbs away from what I was before I got pregnant. i don't know if i will ever reach my pre-pregnancy weight or how much i weighed on my wedding day as i was severely restricting my calorie intake... however, right now I am watching what I eat... i only eat 3x a day, with the exception of 1 snack if i can't wait for DH to get home for dinner which is usually a quaker granola type bar... i'm trying not to get obsessed with it for mine and my daughter's sake.. i don't want to set the wrong example for her so it needs to start now...
i have a gym membership that i obviously haven't used in a long time so i plan on going back to the gym when the doctor ok's me for working out, i really love to run and would very much enjoy starting that up again- and I LOOOOVE Jillian Michaels work outs so i plan on also using the DVDs of hers that i have when i can.
other than that when the weather gets warm i really can't wait to take kyla for walks, sometimes thats all the work out you need!
i am happy with my 18 lbs lost so far and also happy that getting back on track with eating was not as hard as i had expected, but i would still like to lose at the least 10 more lbs and continue to be healthy!
good luck everyone <3

Kier- I also have P90x and DH and I did it after we completed insanity. After doing Insanity, anything else is easier. I found P90 too slow but great for toning! It's hard. I did one of the Insanity workouts yesterday and ended up bleeding a little bit so not sure if it's related but today I'm not going to workout just in case. We didn't put this weight on overnight and we all certainly won't lose it that quickly either. But I don't obsess over it. I use to be that way and it made me depressed and not happy. So this time around I will see where I end up and just be healthy all around.

I've got another 4 weeks until I can ever think about starting to exercise but I ate really well and only gained 20 lbs when I was pregnant and after having him I lost 32lbs! My weight loss has finally started to taper off and I'm about 10-12lbs under my PP weight but I really look forward to when I can start exercising and trying to lose more especially since we plan to start TTC baby #3 by next Nov. Overall I feel much healthier and I feel like I've recovered from Carson's birth quicker/easier than I did DS1, probably partially due to the fact that I gained 80lbs while I was pregnant with him so I carried around that extra weight for quite some time.

Day 19 today and I'm less than 2 and a half pounds away from what I was when I got pregnant this time. 12 lbs to go till I weigh what I did at my best weight and health. Can't wait to do my Jillian Michaels DVD 's.

Well, its been almost a month since we visited this chat.
I dont know if anyone saw the thread I posted, but there is a new challenge on the Biggest Loser Challenge board that just started. I decided to join it and see how it helps. So far, I feel like a loser lol. It seems like I had one ok day, and then my kids got sick and it all went out the widow. I spent all of yesterday cleaning the house and taking care of 2 sick kids, one kid that is just getting over it all, and a 2 month old and didnt get to do my video. Oh well, thats the way it goes right?
My birthday was on Tuesday and DH gave me money to get the next book from the series I'm reading, and a massage. Instead, I ordered the next 3 books off of amazon, still need to find the last book that came out in paper back, and am thinking I am going to use the rest to join weight watchers now rather than waiting for our tax return. My goal is to get down to my first OB appt weight by the 1 yr anniversary of my first BFP. I have 8 lbs to lose to get there right now.
The video Ive started doing is actually a pregnancy one. DH couldnt find a post natal video on line. I just end up modifying it, doing more abdominal work than they do (full crunches rather than just the kegals and such that they do on there). My oldest is home again from school sick today so fingers crossed that I actually get to do it grr

I started using the My Fitness Pal app which helps you track your calories in and out. It's been about a week and no change in weight yet. It doesn't account for breastfeeding so I've been adding 300 calories a day. It seemed like a lot of cals, so I recalculated and realized I'm eating a number to maintain my weight, lol. No wonder there was no change. I ran for the first time yesterday. I'm sore today and I started bleeding again. I haven't bled in 2 weeks. So I guess I need to slow down. I gained 43 lbs this pregnancy :( so I have a lot of work to do. And after that I need to lose around 30 more, for a total of 57 lost from where I am today. That's a tall order. I'm trying to think about it in smaller goals, because it gets overwhelming thinking about the total.
Tiffany-your Insanity before and after is great! I also have done Insanity. I didn't take before/after photos though. I trained to to a 5k (from basically no exercise) to be able to even think about Insanity. I did a full month of it 6 times a week. Can't remember why I stopped-this was before baby #3 came along. It was brutal. I want to do it again, but I know I have to start slow and build my way up to it. I love that it makes you want to lie on the floor in a pool of your own sweat at the end of it! :)
Kier-I did the Biggest Loser Challenge with a group from my Dec 08 board. We did it for about 2 years and it has since fizzled out. I decided to opt out again this time because it's a lot of commitment for me to log in every day and post with all that's going on here. I hope you find it useful and you see results using it. I really enjoyed it and have gotten to be good friends when several of the ladies on my team.

I also tend to break it down into goals. My first goal, is 8 lbs. Then, its 4lbs to get to my lowest weight after having DD, then its an additional 5lbs to get to where I want to be... so a total of 17lbs. I know it doesnt sound like a whole lot, but when you are my height, it shows :( I did an online assessment and my BMI according to them is 27, so over weight. But, it seems like each chart I've looked at is a bit different. Either way, I need to drop some lbs.
DH is also starting to work towards losing weight. They are having a biggest loser challenge where he works. It costs money to enter, but the group that loses the most, and then the individual, all get prizes. They do weekly weigh ins and if you miss you pay a dollar. I am hoping that he will do some of the ww with me, even if he doesnt actually join... and he already set up his bike trainer in the basement so he can start ridding on it each night after the kids go to bed. So, hopefully we can both get to where we want to be and be healthier in general together ;)

Well, I did it. I went and joined weight watchers and went to my first meeting. I was able to stick to the plan yesterday, fingers crossed that I can do the same today :)
