The last couple of day DD has been doing this thing where she poops, and rather than telling me, figures out how to get her diaper off, and then comes to me saying she pooped. We had just gotten to the point where she would go, and then come over and tell me so I could change her. Now, I have to go hunt down the diaper, make sure there isnt any poop any where, and then clean her up (and change her top, because it usually had a bit on it from touching her butt). She isnt really to the point of knowing she needs to go before she goes (#1 or #2), and I am not in a hurry to potty train her at this point because of the fact that I will have a newborn to contend with in the next 10 to 14 weeks... and I am sure there will be some adjustment/regression issues with that. Neither of my boys potty trained till they were over 3 (DS1 was actually closer to 3.5 before he got it done) and they just did it. DD just turned 2. I know girls are supposed to be easier, but this stripping of the poopy diaper thing is really getting on my nerves. The boys never did this. I wish she would either just get it, and get potty trained now, or hold off till Jan. or Feb.... once we are out of the new baby/adjustment phase, and have had time to get a routine down, and past any adjustment/regression issues.
