You ladies are going to think I'm completely mad but last night..

When I got home from the ER, I lay down and put my hand on my tummy to say 'goodnight baby' and I nearly jumped out of bed with fright because I felt baby's HB. I freaked out at first and then I rushed to get the doppler out, sure enough when I placed the doppler on the place where I felt it I could hear the HB stronger than I have ever felt before, like real beating not just the woosh woosh woosh sound.

So cool, yet so weird...I had no idea that this was possible!! I think baby must have been cuddling up real close to my belly saying 'thanks mum for going to ER, I feel much better now' hehe or perhaps it was something to do with the IV fluids making it cold in there or something?? I don't know...

Anyone else experienced anything like this?

I rarely feel this baby, and when I do its a sqwirm here and there... once in a while I get a kick or a punch, but its been few and far between. I have felt my other 3 have the hickups, but not their heart beats. Thats awesome that you can feel that Smile

I'm pretty certain it will be a once off, I don't feel this baby move much at all either!

How cool Mandy! Now if I stay up all night feeling my belly, it's all your fault! Wink So glad you're feeling better.

Glad you are feeling better! I can sometimes feel the HB too but when I tell DH to feel he says he can't feel anything and looks at me like I'm nuts so I wonder if it's my own pulse in my finger tips that I'm feeling. I don't have a Doppler to compare and see if I'm right but that's really cool that you got to experience that!

Yay! I'm not the only one! You can tell the difference because it's incredibly fast, way faster than your normal pulse. That's why I freaked out or a sec because I thought 'omg is my pulse that ridiculously fast?' lol but I quickly realized what it was though!
