    Default 13 Week Appt

I had a 13 week appt today. My midwife wanted me to come in to see if I wanted to do the genetic blood tests or anything and I declined. But I had been having cramping off and on and she said we would go ahead and just check me out just to be safe. HB is 144 <3

I *think* I've been feeling little flutters. She said most likely if I think I've felt them, I probably have since this is #4. BTW I'm calling this one T4 lol. (Our last name begins with a "T" so I thought it was funny).

Anyway, in 2-3 weeks I can call to make my anatomy u/s appt. Last time I was 21 or 22 weeks when I had it, so the fact that I can get in as early as 18 weeks is exciting! Not that I'll be finding out the gender (yet!) but it just means it's a little closer to everything!!

I've been making a list of boy and girl names to send to my husband so he can narrow some down. I keep adding names but not sure how many I should put on there because I don't want too many on the list but I also don't want him to say no to all of them ha ha.

It's finally starting to really hit me. Esp after my husband asked me to send him belly pictures instead of just the u/s because seeing my belly makes it more special and realistic for him. Also, I'm thinking of announcing my pregnancy on FB on Mother's Day.

I think I'll put a picture of my youngest with the caption "Desmond: being the baby expires November 2013" to see how many people catch on.

I also told my girls today about the baby. I gave them gifts and told them we were having another baby but I wanted to let them know just because we're having another doesn't mean it's going to take away from them. My oldest was surprised lol and my middle child was just excited to get a toy ha ha. And of course my son doesn't understand since he's only 13 1/2 months.

Have any of you ladies announced it yet? How did you do it or how will you?

Sounds like lots of good news, and it seems like you've been able to keep your husband involved!

I announced yesterday with this picture:

Family Photos- by Bree Franklin Photography by EileenWithAnE, on Flickr

And this caption: So this was the face when we told Bronwyn she was going to have to share all her toys. And our first official family picture of four. Steven and I are happy to announce we are expecting an addition to the family just in time for Thanksgiving. (And we're just kidding about the face, Bronwyn is actually very excited to be a big sister, and she's hoping for a little brother, but we won't know that for another couple months)

Sounds like a good appt and I like your idea to announce! Eileen- I like your picture and caption! I am not sure what I'm going to do yet. I have an ultrasound Wed am and my plan is to tell my kids and co-workers after that, but am not sure if I'm going to announce it on facebook yet. My good friend/co-worker has not done the best job though keeping her mouth shut, so I'm not sure if all my co-workers know. I do know that she told the one other girl that works really closely with us that we would be coming back from maternity leave at the same time (my friend is also pregnant) so she obviously figured out that I was pregnant too!

I swear I had replied to this! ha ha.

But I love the face your daughter is making in the picture Eileen! So cute!

Last time we were pregnant I announced it on Halloween with a picture of me in a shirt with the skeleton baby. I've seen a lot with people having the expectant mother holding a picture of the u/s or pictures of pee sticks, so I wanted to try and be creative to see how many catch on ha ha.
