Do you have any kids yet? That can make a big difference. This was me 4 years ago with my daughter, but already 21 weeks. I'm probably already just as big and 7 weeks earlier.

It is my first child...do you think the difference can be so significant?

Every woman carries different and each of those women carry differently from pregnancy to pregnancy.

I'm also heavy, so my padding is placed where it makes me look bigger too.

Lots of women hardly show the entire pregnancy. Me? I was in maternity pants this time at 9 weeks... Size definitely has nothing to do with it. From your profile pic it looks like I can definitely see a bump there. I'm sure your little one is growing right along and next week you'll see them!

You've heard the heartbeat once, right? Once you get to the point where you can hear the heartbeat something like 98% of pregnancies are carried to term.

Worrying is normal, but try not to worry yourself too much. Just you wait, in about a month or so you'll be feeling movement (I didn't feel my first til 20-21 weeks) and you'll get your reassurance all the time!

We did hear the heartbeat around the 13 week mark. I'm sure I'm just worrying...we just had tried for so long. Thank you for your advice and comments definitely made me feel better!

There can definitely be a big difference b/w women and number of children! With my first, I told my patients around 20 weeks and a lot of them were totally shocked! With my second, I felt like I had to tell people right at 13 weeks and everybody had already guessed! I remember one of my patient's moms telling me that she had been waiting for a month for me to tell her! This one is surprising me b/c I don't feel like I am as large as my 2nd and I haven't told any of my patients yet because I feel like I can hide it pretty well. I'm thinking maybe next week. I need to take a pic!

You ladies all look wonderful! I LOVE seeing belly pics!

There's a huge difference between women! I'm almost 20w and thin my belly shots look just like the one in your avatar picture (with my 4th baby, 6th pregnancy!). But, I have a neighbor who is 26w, built like me, and bigger than I'll be at term. There is huge variety.
    big boy 12.8.07 @ 39+2 7lbs 8oz, 20.5" BFed for 13 months
    middle boy 8.12.09 @ 39+4 7lbs 9oz, 21" BFed for 13.5 months
    little boy 4.26.11 @ 38+4 6lbs 14oz, 19.5" BFed until 26mo and restarted at 30mo!
    baby boy 10.25.13 @ 41+0 8lbs 15oz, 21.5"
    8.16.12 & 12.16.12

I'm on #4 so I'm definitely showing sooner. Last time I was in maternity/yoga pants by 8-10 weeks. I hated it ha ha. This time, I can still fit in my jeans, but it hurts to sit down lol. I didn't really start showing with #1 until I was about 5 months pregnant. This time around, I was showing around 10 weeks.

For some reason, this time around I've been kinda nervous but I've been feeling little flutters lately so it helps (also, the more kids you have, the sooner you'll feel baby move).
