    Default Bleeding..

Today is CD 23/28. I am spotting dark dark red. And it's very "blood" like. Liqidy almost, not mucsy at all. TMI? I have been having a little bit of cramping the last day or two and my boobs have been very tender, and tingly.

I'm not sure what to think.. Early AF? Implantation bleeding? We are going out of town this weekend so I'm just hoping that distracts me because I'm so overwhelmed. What do you guys think? Honestly I value your opinion much more highly then any doctor or website. Thanks ladies!

Hmmm. I'm not sure what to think. From what I understand, implantation bleeding is usually between 6-12 dpo and it is darker than usual. So it sounds promising to me, the only thing different is the liquidy characteristic.

I had implantation bleeding with both of my pregnancies. Actually, that's what alerted me to test with #2. Mine was about 2 or 3 days before AF. And it was (tmi) dark red or brownish streaked mucousy discharge.

Of course all women and all bodies are different, blah blah blah. The sore/tingly BBs are a good sign. Are you still on the fence about being pregnant with your job situation? If not, I hope this is it for you. Keep us posted!! Any plans to test?

It has become much thicker, but still deep dark red.

I know that a baby is ALWAYS a special thing and that it is something I would be thankful to experience at any point, no matter what the circumstances. So I am of course hoping that I am pg, but if not then the universe must have known what was going to happen at work. I ended up having to quit because the job the offered me in replace of the one I was forced out of, was an hour long commute from my home. I just can't afford the time or money for that.

So for now I'm job hunting for something part time so I can get time to focus on school and get my degree finished. Then after that go out to find my dream job! Hopefully I will get pg during this down time anyway right? I would rather be done having kids when I start my career then have to balance both. But it will work out the way it should because it always does right?

Side note: I bled at 12 weeks really heavily with DS#2, doc said that it was most likely a blood vessel had popped when the placenta was growing into the uteris. We still don't know for sure, but he is healthy as can be! Maybe I am prone to this type of bleeding, or my tissue is getting weaker with every pregnancy or something. Hmm... When should I test?

How long did it last for you? Were you crampy?

    Hmmm, I'm stumped.

And I honestly don't remember if my implantation bleeding was accompanied by cramps. Both pregnancies were a bit of a surprise, so I wasn't really paying much attention to other symptoms. I do remember that it lasted a few days each time.

And I'm not a good person to ask about testing dates. I don't have any patience and I test way too early.

I am one of those people that never gets implantation bleeding, but I have read that tests like an FRER can pick up hcg as early as 3 says after. Good luck and kup.

When I was pregnant with #2 I got implantation bleeding in the am, and went to the store and bought a clearblue digital and got a positive result that same day, with afternoon urine. That was 3 years ago, and from what i remember the tests were reliable 5 days before missed period as opposed to the 6 they advertise now, not sure if that really makes a difference tho. And all that said, I think my implantation bleeding happened within 2 or 3 days of my expected period, so a little later than your seems to be.

The flow has almost stopped, for now at least. I will gauge in the morning. But man I am crampy and so bloated I could die. The boobs have still been feeling sore are tingling sensations today. Not sure when to test. I'm somewhere around 7DPO. I think it's still a little early. And of course the evil voice in the back of my head is saying, you're delusional and not preg at all!

I'm just drowning myself in school, trying not to think about it too much. But I can't help but pop back in and get your feedback. Ooh- There is a weird pain in my boob right now. At this point it would surprise me if it were gas.

Jessica, did you have any bleeding throughout your pregnancy after the implantation bleeding?

Yes actually. But it wsnt necessarily connected to the implantation bleeding.

I had implantation bleeding with both boys. The rest of my first pregnancy was easy and uneventful.

With my second pregnancy I found out i had placenta previa at 13 weeks. I started gushing bright red blood. I was in nursing school and literally in the hospital when it happened, still, I soaked thru one of those obnoxious maternity pads in the time it took to catch an elevator and walk to the ER. Of course I was scared out of my mind and assumed I lost the baby, because no way could I be bleeding so bad and not. But there was a heartbeat. I started seeing a high risk OB every 3 weeks I think, for an ultrasound to track/measure the previa. I was also on bedrest until the active bleeding stopped, which was less than 2 weeks. But I was on pelvic rest for almost the rest of the pregnancy. At about 34 weeks there was no longer any sign of placenta previa so I was back to my regular OB and carried out the rest of the pregnancy (and delivery) without any problems.
