[QUOTE=ourfirstblessing;9063953]Our first getting to know you thread. Obviously feel free to answer what you are comfortable with

    Name: Kristen
    Age: 29
    Baby #: 4
    How far along: 6 wks
    Hoping for a ....?: Boy
Upcoming appts?: Not yet. My ob likes to see newly pregnant patients at 10wks, unless we don't know how far we are.
Any fun (or not so fun) symptoms yet?: Got hit hard today with nausea. YAY me lol. I have been sick through all three other pregnancies so I didn't expect anything less. Hoping it's not severe like the first time.
Tell us about your current family: I have been married for 10 years (wow!) and we have 3 great boys. Connor is 5.5 and started kindy in the fall. He is just starting to read and that's really exciting. Isaac is 4.5 and busy, busy. He was an early talker and is never really quiet . Colin turned 1 in early feb. and I love this age/stage. It's really fun. He's my little shadow most time but is really liking playing with his brothers. Big boys just started tball, which I am super excited about. We have a dog and two outdoor kitties. That's about it
Anything else?: I know it's really early but I am so excited for this baby. This will be our last and I am just so ready to move on from the 'having babies' stage to the 'raising babies' stage. I don't love everything about being pregnant but the end result is worth it .

    Name: Rachel

    Age: 28, 29 in May

    Baby #: 4

How far along: by my last period I'll be 7 weeks Monday but I won't know for sure until my u/s Thursday. I was measuring behind at the last u/s.

    Hoping for a ....?: I don't care either way.

    Upcoming appts?: Thursday the 4th

Any fun (or not so fun) symptoms yet?: I've been throwing up a lot more than I have with any other pregnancy. I've always had nausea but this is different. I'm also super crabby and tired.

Tell us about your current family: my husband Jeff and I have been married for 6.5 years. Four years ago we moved from the Chicago suburbs to SW Florida and are still finding our way here! It's much different from up north! I have a 3 beautiful kiddos: Amaya (5), Cash (3), and Chase (17 months). They are my life and amaze me every day.

Anything else?: as most of you know this pregnancy was completely unplanned. The mirena failed and I'm still in shock. I'm trying to not get too excited as there are risks with the mirena but I am coming around a bit more. I'm also nervous because I've had preeclampsia with each pregnancy and my last two were 4 and 5 weeks early. My youngest spent 2 weeks in the NICU and I don't want to do that again. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!!

Age: 31 now (will be 32 when baby is born)
    Baby #: 2
How far along: 5 weeks 3 days (i think, i'll know for sure on Tuesday)
Hoping for a ....?: hubs wants a boy
    Upcoming appts?: 4/2 and 4/15
Any fun (or not so fun) symptoms yet?: tired, bloated, occasional feel a wave of nausea, but not full on, uterus feels really full sometimes, I got hives the past couple of days, but I don't know if that is related. Boobs are definitely bigger and sore.
Tell us about your current family: 1 husband, 1 daughter (3), 1 dog, 1 cat.
Anything else?: I'm still nervous coming off a loss. Also petrified of delivery, I had a horrific experience with my daughter, enough to think for a couple years that I would never have another child. I also had preeclampsia with my daughter.

    Name: Katy
    Age: 31

    Baby #:3

How far along: I'm thinking 6 weeks, but really don't know for sure!

Hoping for a ....?: healthy baby My boys really want a sister (but don't know I'm pregnant yet)!

Upcoming appts?: April 10th for an ultrasound, labs and to meet with the doctor.

Any fun (or not so fun) symptoms yet?: My very first symptom was really sore boobs! I love running and it makes it hard to run! Just this week, the nausea really started to kick in, along with being tired. I've also been getting like a migraine with an aura, but not really a bad headache. It was really bad at the beginning of the week, but seems to be getting better thankfully!

Tell us about your current family: My husband Sean and I have been married 8.5 years and started dating in college. Drew is 4, will be 5 in August, and will be starting kindergarten in the fall. He's an awesome helper/big brother and really, really wants another sibling so I'm so excited for when we tell him! Camden is my crazy little guy that will be 2 in 2 weeks. He is so funny and is such a people person. He's totally already the class clown/teacher's pet in every daycare class he's had!

Anything else?: We kept going back and forth about having a 3rd and I always said that I just wanted to "accidentally" get pregnant so I didn't have to decide! I went off pills in the fall, because I had issues with them. We never got around to deciding what to use consistently for birth control, but I figured I wouldn't get pregnant b/c it took a while with Cam and I'm pretty good at knowing when I'm ovulating, so I was pretty shocked when I got a BFP! We are so, so excited though and I'm just hoping that everything goes well. I'm always a little nervous, especially at the beginning and after having miscarried before, so am hoping that my ultrasound coming up will go well!

    Age: 25, almost 26

    Baby #: 4

How far along: 7 1/2 weeks

Hoping for a ....?: healthy baby! (I'd prefer a boy just to make it even, but I'd gladly welcome a girl too!)

Upcoming appts?: April 16th is my dating u/s to make sure I really am that far along.

Any fun (or not so fun) symptoms yet?: Nausea, tiredness, body aches, headaches...I had all the same with my son and none with my girls ha ha

Tell us about your current family:I have two girls and a boy. I am a SAHM and love it. We cloth diaper because of the cute prints (and to save money right? Ha ha) My husband is a Marine and is currently deployed

Anything else?: My husband is currently deployed, so I've been thinking of cute ways for a gender reveal when he comes home ha ha. so far away yet so close! This is our last kid because I'm gonna try to get DH to get the big V afterwards lol. We were gonna wait on #4 but I guess other plans were in the cards for us! I'm nervous with my kids being so close in age, and I sometimes fear I won't get to enjoy my son as much right now with the new one coming. It still hasn't hit me yet either. My husband has already let it sink in but I haven't haha.

    Name: Shannon

    Age: 34

    Baby #: 3

    How far along: 9 weeks

Hoping for a ....?: Girl, but only because that's what both kiddos want. I have both already and would love to do either again

Upcoming appts?: I have my first appointment with my new OB on April 17th and the NT screen on April 18th

Any fun (or not so fun) symptoms yet?: Yep - nausea, heartburn, alternating constipation and diarrhea, exhaustion - all of the first trimester fun

Tell us about your current family: Will and I have been married for 8 years in May, together for 14. Audrey is in kindergarten this year. She goes to a language immersion school so it has been amazing watching her become bilingual this year. Gus is a super busy two year old. I work part-time so he's in daycare 3 days a week and he loves it. He's such a social little guy.

Anything else: I'm a lawyer and our firm has a really big case going to trial in three weeks. I'm super stressed with the extra work on top of feeling so bad, but I love my job and this case is super fun so that helps a lot. Plus it helps that I won't actually be trying the case - just helping with all the pre-trial stuff.

Tell us about your current family: My husband and I have been married for 9 years this June. We have 2 boys, Carson (5) and Jackson (3). I stay at home with them, and will be starting up a photography business in the coming months. My husband is an accountant whose job has moved us from IL to AR. Hoping for a ....?: doesn't matter. A boy would be nice to even things out.
    Upcoming appts?: May 3
Any fun (or not so fun) symptoms yet? I can't really complain. I am SOOO tired that I can't get anything done, but that's about it.
Tell us about your current family: DH and I just had our 10th anniversary. I have a big girl who's 8 1/2, a boy who's 6 1/2, and a little girl who just turned 2. I have been a stay at home mom until recently. I am a teacher by trade, I went back last year for the second half of the year. Then decided to tutor part time instead of staying full-time. Then, about a month or so ago, I was asked to take on a vacant spot for the rest of the year. For some reason I said yes and now I'm counting the days till the end of the school year. Right now we are busy with sports. My older daughter is playing softball and my son is playing soccer with DH as his coach. I'm really looking forward to summer!
Anything else?: I was on the Feb 2011 board with #3, and I still keep in touch with them. I'm excited to be a part of a new board and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone!
