I know our board is pretty much dead, but I wanted to still announce I had my baby girl!
She was born on Halloween My water broke about 3 AM and I didn't have contractions for about an hour. I drove myself to the hospital while my husband stayed with our other 3 kids. I told him I would let him know how far along I was so the other could sleep more. I was only a 3-4 when I was admitted. I stayed that way for a while. I got an epidural around 830 and I was still a 3-4. My husband came up around 10 after he took our oldest to school. He left DD2 with me while he went home with DS and made some lunches and got snacks for the kids. DD2 took care of me. I was feeling itchy and nauseous and tired and she just laid with me and rubbed my legs. She was great. All the nurses thought she was so sweet. Then my husband came back around noon and the kids ate and we just waited to see where I was. Around 115 they checked my and I was a 10 but she was too high up. They had me sit up to help bring her down and I started pushing around 130. At one point the dr asked if I was even pushing because she was just sliding out.
Finally at 1:43 PM she was born! We did delayed cord clamping and the cord pulsed for almost 6 minutes. She was immediately placed on me skin to skin and stayed that way for almost 2 hours. It's still unbelieveable that she's already here. This whole pregnancy didn't feel real and now I'm rocking her in her cradle and I'm still in disbelief. But I'm so happy she's here.
