2nd Birthday Party?

What are you / did you all doing / do for your little one's birthday this year?

We are having an Olivia the Pig party with our family and a couple close friends, about 25 people, at home. We're making our own food and cake and decorations ... I'm so excited for this year because I know Ashlynn is going to love this special day all about her. She's old enough now that she will be over the moon about all of her new presents and having her favorite people all together.

We had a Choo Choo party for Reed. I made most of the decorations and was very proud of my cake Wink

OF course, I made the mistake of sending DF to the store for 1 balloon and he returns from party City with a carful of balloons. But is was really cute.

Reed had so much fun. Spelled his name out on trains that I had made and when he saw them he started jumping up and down "Choo, Choo, R E E D" it was so cute! I posted some pics below. Smile

We had Tyler's party a few weeks ago. She STILL talks about her Binoo cake! She loved it. We didn't do alot of decorating, because it was supposed to be at the park. We changed the location to our house last minute because of crappy weather. So I just put up a few of last year's decorations, simple pink streamers and some happy birthday signs. I didn't even have time to buy balloons. It was a nice party though, only 4 kids showed up but it was actually a nice number for our house. Otherwise it was mostly family and close friends. She got alot of really nice gifts.

Terrified because Binoo's head is on fire..

Rocky's was two weekends ago. It was kind of thrown together at the last minute due to relatives being in town. He LOVES Toy Story, so he got a Toy Story cake. We bought a ton of balloons cuz he LOVES them too. Just had some snacks and a few relatives. His big present was his new big boy toddler bed (Toy Story themed of course Wink )

How is he doing with the bed?

He's doing really well. We do have to put him to bed when he is really tired though, or else he gets up. I would say if anything is a little hard it's the naps. He doesn't get as tired for naps sometimes, so occassionally he ends up skipping his normal nap and passing out way too late in the evening. He loves being a big boy. He has Toy Story bedding and a woody stuffed doll too, so he is thrilled to cuddle up with that stuff usually.

We had a bubble party. I had bubble wrap taped to the floor in our foyer, so when the guests arrived, they got a full sensory experience. The kids all ended up in the foyer jumping on it after the cake! I did cake balls with blue coating to look like bubbles. He had a blast, but the bubble solution ended up in his eyes way too often and he looked like he had pink eye for days! But he loved every minute of it. Too bad they don't make tear free bubbles!
