Samantha is pretty much potty trained at home. She potty trained herself for the most part, she decided she didn't want her diaper off and took it off and started going in the potty. When we are at home she runs around the house with no pants on, but when she is wearing pants she is still able to take them on and off herself so she is pretty self sufficient at home. The only time she wears a diaper or pull up is for nap and bedtime. We do use a diaper or pull up when we go out, but if she sees a closed door (she thinks it's a bathroom) she'll say, "Potty" and sometimes even when she doesn't see a bathroom she'll say it when she knows she needs to go. Anytime she has said she has to go, when I put her on she goes.
My problem is at Daycare she isn't very verbal there for some reason, even though she knows the word potty and says it to me and DH, she won't tell the daycare lady when she needs to go. I asked the daycare lady if she asks Samantha if she has to go and she does ask her and sometimes she can put Samantha on the potty and she'll go. I just don't know what I can do for Samantha so she can start to tell the daycare lady when she does need to go. She can't do what we do at home because the daycare lady has to have a gate up in the playroom, so she can't just go to the bathroom on her own when she needs to go.
