Planning the birthday party?!

Am I the only one that's already making plans? I always start to get excited like 6 months beforehand!

Location; My friends community. They have an awesome playground and it's right next to the pool which they actually have a kiddie pool which is only 18" deep. And there are outdoor showers and bathrooms. We figure this way, if it's warm we can swim, if it's not, we'll just play at the playground. I really like the tables too, they're like regular park tables but they're bar style (up high).

Food; Pizza and Cupcakes

Invitations; E-vites!

We're simplifying this year and I'm really looking forward to it! We might not even do a theme, if we do, probably just let Liam pick out the plates he likes and maybe get a few balloons for the tables! I'm not doing gift bags because I've discovered that nobody really cares about them. Maybe a pinata though?

So far my only thought has been: "how am I going to do a 3rd birthday party while I also have a newborn?" Lol! I think we will have to keep it very simple.

I haven't even gotten that far yet. The theme will probably depend on what he likes. right now it's either Woody, Fire truck, school bus or police cars...lol I usually have the parties at my house because the back yard is big enough.

I haven't even thought about it either. I just got over doing Gavin's 1st birthday so it will probably be a while before I am ready to think about planning another party. In fact, it probably won't be until about a 6-8 weeks before that I start thinking about/planning it. I do know one thing, though. It will be VERY simple. Probably a grocery store bought cake or cupcakes, drinks and MAYBE chips and dip. Probably no theme, no goody bags....just cake and presents. Maybe a piñata. Big themed birthday parties are just WAY too expensive!

I will start to think about it come October 1st. Maybe even a week after that. Blum 3

I've started looking @ birthdayexpress.com for ideas, but that is as far as I've gotten. I think we may do it @ the local childrens park this year, but this could very well change between now and October.

I've kind of got an idea of either doing a camping party or a monkey party at the zoo- she's huge on monkeys right now. My girls are almost 6 months apart so it makes planning one right after the other the plan for now. Ava's is next month so right now I'm waist high in Mulan. West's birthday falls almost in the middle of the girls but I have a whole new set of themes with a boy! I think for him we're going to do a milk & cookie themed party at home.

Love this idea! It'd be so easy, just make a bunch of different kinds of cookies! People love cookies! Think it'd be bad to make Liam a big cookie instead of a cake?

I was thinking about just getting one of those cookie cakes from the place in the mall so I don't see why not....

Here's one of the cuter one's I've seen with that theme...although there are tons of things on etsy for a milk & cookies party.

Liam said he wants a "Cow Day!" which will match with Milk & Cookies so I think that's the direction I'll start searching in. I know with so long to go he could change but at least it's a start!
